Chris explodes in white-hot rage over the news and beats Adriana, before nearly strangling her to death in his anger, only stopping because he breaks down crying. As he sits distraught and paralyzed with fear over how his friends and Tony will react, Adriana tries to convince him that if he agrees to inform on the mob, the FBI will send them both into Witness Protection and the two can start a new life together.
