One of the most influential animated cartoons of all time. Ren and Stimpy, by Creator/JohnKricfalusi, originally ran from August 11, 1991 until October 20, 1996, for a total of 5 seasons. John K. was fired, mostly for [[ScheduleSlip Schedule Slips]] and fights with censors, on September 25, 1992. A new animation studio called Games Animations, with ex-Kricfalusi associate Bob Camp as creative director, would take over production for the rest of the original run.

In 2003, Kricfalusi was put back in charge of Ren and Stimpy, and created a new version for Creator/SpikeTV entitled "Ren and Stimpy: Adult Party Cartoon". Controversial among fans of the original show, this newer version would only last seven episodes, with only four of those actually airing on television (Man's Best Friend, an episode originally produced for the old show in 1991, was banned and aired as a part of the Adult Party Cartoon run on June 23, 2003). The first four episodes aired on television in the summer of 2003, and the remaining three episodes were released onto "The Lost Episodes" DVD set three years later on July 18, 2006.
