Slimer, in cowboy getup, is watching a Lone Ranger parody called ''The Lone Stranger'', but the TV keeps glitching out. He tries hitting it, but it doesn't work, so he travels through the wiring and up through the antenna. There, he finds Manx pursuing a bird and, inspired by ''The Lone Stranger'', decides to save it.

Slimer saves the bird, and Manx lands in the trash. Slimer then names the bird, a baby pigeon, Pidgey, and tries to set him free, before realising that he can't fly yet. Slimer tries to teach Pidgey to fly by flying around flapping his arms, but when Pidgey tries, he falls. Slimer catches him and Pidgey cries, but Slimer consoles him.

Manx then tries to catch Pidgey again, this time using a bow and plungers. He catches Pidgey, then attaches the plunger to the antenna, leading to Manx being launched away when he tries to reel Pigey in. Manx then tries using a kite and fans to blow himself up to Pidgey (who Slimer is trying to teach to fly again). After a tug-of-war, Slimer gives Manx a 100-lb weight, sending him crashing down.

The weight lands on the fans, which malfunction, creating a tornado, that sends Manx into the engine of a plane. He falls from the sky, then Slimer tries to teach Pidgey to fly with a balloon. Manx pops the balloon with a peashooter, then tries to catch Pidgey in his mouth.

Luckily, Pidgey learns to fly at just the right moment and escapes Manx. Then, ''Slimer'' lands in Manx's mouth instead, much to his disgust, and he spits him out and runs away.
