Added DiffLines:

While Myrna is waiting for Oscar to deliver his article, Felix shows her some old photos and ends up telling her the story of how Oscar and Blanche got married...which, thanks to Oscar shipping out to an army base and the higher-ranked Felix's determination to follow regulations, quickly went awry.
!!This episode includes examples of the following tropes:
* BrickJoke: One of the photos Felix shows Myrna includes his Uncle Eric, a six-fingered man. Later, Oscar picks up the photos, and, as Felix asks if it makes him think of Blanche, he brings up the six-fingered man.
* ChekhovsGun: Desperate to keep the operator from cutting him off before he can propose, Oscar damages the phone in the recreation room to get at the coins. Felix reports this, getting him in trouble.
* EmbarrassingLastName: When Oscar asks Blanche if she ever seriously thought of marrying his rival Cecil Panch, Blanche answers that she couldn't have gone through life with the name "Blanche Panch."
* {{Foreshadowing}}: While they're still at the apartment, Felix (a lieutenant) tells Oscar (a private) that he'll have to treat him like any other soldier while they're at the base. After Oscar damages a phone, Felix files a full report, thus cancelling his honeymoon. Felix sadly tells him that he had to stick to the army's principles (though he says he would have bent the rules by reporting it later if he'd known Oscar's weekend pass was at stake).
* ShoutOut: The title refers to ''Film/ThisIsTheArmy1943.''
* SteppingOutForAQuickCupOfCoffee: Felix purposely leaves a chastised Oscar "sitting alone in his bunk" when he knows Blanche is about to come in. He lampshades it, saying that he had to report the thing that got Oscar in trouble, but if he doesn't see this, he doesn't have to report it.
* WackyMarriageProposal: Downplayed; Oscar's proposal is pretty standard, down to the getting down on one knee, but he has to do it over the base's phone while something is going on in the background on Blanche's end.
* WartimeWedding: While Felix and Oscar's unit is said to be entertainers, it's still treated as an army unit, and Oscar, after hesitating for three years, proposes to and marries Blanche while he's stationed on base.
* WhatHaveIDone: Felix is horrified when General Wyatt cancels Oscar's weekend pass due to Felix's report on his damaging government property. He tells the seething Oscar that if he'd known Wyatt would do that, he would have waited until after Oscar and Blanche had gone on their honeymoon to report it.
