** Whether he was sincere in his attempts to [[TeachHimAnger help her grow courage]] or not, Bykov's mistreatment of Varya was very mean even by his usual standards (and the sole reason she even needs those "lessons" is because of Bykov's obnoxious behaviour). His latest act of abuse results in her accidentally hitting a shelve, causing several glass jar to fall on Bykov's head and knock him out.
** Kisegach punishes Gleb for not preventing Kupitman from [[ItMakesSenseInContext smoking weed]] and getting high is to force him into working for Kupitman until he sobers up -- and high Kupitman [[CoolAndUnusualPunishment has rather creative punishments in mind]]...

* PayEvilUntoEvil: After helping Kupitman with installing his new hookah, Gleb gets rather rudely ordered to shut up and leave. Of course, after that he doesn't warn Kupitman about the true content of his hookah, allowing him to get high and embarrass himself -- and it's [[AssholeVictim hard to feel sorry]] for [[{{Jerkass}} Kupitman]], given his mean behaviour in general and this episode in particular.

Olga is concerned with Semyon's lack of joy over her pregnancy, and she thinks that this is due to him not wanting children; in fact, he's concerned with that she may be pregnant from Phil, not him. Varya has some argument in favour to this: not long ago, Phil told her that he thinks that Olga is interested in, as he called it, "bonus night" (or simply "sex with ex"), which happened nearby that one-night-stand Semyon had with her. Varya is unaware wether he had any success with this, but Semyon needs no more confirmation than this, and rushes to Phil. After talking to him, Semyon learns that Phil had no sex with Olga that night; he misinterpreted her words as her wanting to sleep with him, and made a fool out of himself. He lied to Varya in order to keep it hidden, but now it only makes him look even more pathetic. Lobanov runs to Olga and apologises, after which she accepts him as a future father of her child, as well as confirms that it's indeed his.

David tells Varya that she must confront Bykov and tell him to stop mistreating her, otherwise he would never stop. She tried... and utterly fails, after which she tells Bykov that this was due to her promise to David. She asks him wether she may tell David that she succeed and pretend that this never happened, but Bykov refuses: if she promised David to confront Bykov, she must do so, and he would "help" her, by increasing the level of his abuse even further until she finds a courage to call him out on it. It goes without any success, but at some point Varya accidentally hits a shelve, dropping several glass jars on Bykov and knocking him out -- just in time for David to appear; Varya uses the opportunity to claim the credit, knowing that there would be no other chance.

Today, Kupitman must be as sober as never before: he must attend at least one important summit without being wasted. Meanwhile, his patient gifted him a hookah... stuffed with some weed from Kazakhstan. Gleb (who helped him with installing and explained how it works) realises its real nature when he speaks with his patient, but decides to not warn Kupitman (who acted very rudely and ungrateful to him), and instead asks Kisegach to allow him be presented on the summit; he can't miss the show. Kupitman gets high and starts acting like a complete lunatic, culminating in his speech about one thing their hospital needs the most: hymn. Only then Kisegach realises what's wrong with him, and stops the summit. Since Gleb had an opportunity to save Kupitman, but chose to let him embarrass himself, Kisegach allows (still intoxicated) Kupitman to choose a fitting punishment by himself; he forces Gleb to cover the whole foyer's floor with paper... only to then remove it entirely. Kupitman finds it amusing, Gleb not so much.

** When Semyon [[GiveTheBabyAFather offers to become a father for Olga's baby, wether it's from him or not]], she calls him mad (in rather angry voice)... then tells him that this is exactly what she needs from him, and assures him that this ''is'' his baby.
* ContemplatingYourHands: Towards the end of the episode, while Kisegach chews her son out for causing the whole mess, Kupitman, still intoxicated, stares at his palms, concerned with how he can enlarge them.

* ExtremeDoormat: David tells Varya that Bykov keeps mistreating her because she can't confront him and tell to stop. If she would demand the fair treatment while looking confidently enough, he would respect her more. Unfortunately, she completely botches an attempt to do so, which enrages Bykov even more; he decides to press her further until she finds the courage to confront him for real. She never does, but due to lucky circumstances manages to exploit the trauma Bykov received by accident to brag to David that she ''did'' face Bykov.
* GiveTheBabyAFather: After dealing with Phil, Semyon tells Olga that wether her kid is his or Phil's, he would accept him as his own. She at first calls him mad, because for him, accepting the child from the other guy is easier than to accept ''his own'', but then tells that she likes him for it, and assures him that this child ''is'' his.
* {{Hypocrite}}: Pointed out by Varya when David fails to object to anything Bykov tells them during chewing them out in the end (because David's suggestion for Varya to face Bykov kickstarted this whole mess). David tries (unsuccessfully) to claim that he does not fear Bykov, but then they both just laughs over it.

* MarijuanaIsLSD: The topic of Kupitman being TheLoad due to his alcoholism gets brought up again, this time by Kisegach, who asks him to be sober for at least '''one''' summit. Unfortunately, he was just gifted with a hookah which his patient imported from Kazakhstan, and, as Gleb quickly learns, it was stuffed with weed which "you are not supposed to bring from Kazakhstan". [[{{Troll}} Gleb]] decides to not warn him, and then now-high Kupitman attends the summit; Gleb. Hilarity ensues:
** When high, Kupitman interprets many words [[InherentlyFunnyWords in a funny ways]], due to them sounding similar to something silly and/or obscene.

** Then Kupitman suddenly comes to conclusion that their hospital needs... a hymn.

* PayEvilUntoEvil: It's hard to feel sorry for Kupitman after his [[{{Jerkass}} mean behaviour]] in this episode ([[TokenEvilTeammate and mean behaviour in general]], for that matter). Bonus points for him forcing Gleb out before he has a chance to actually warn him (which he tried); after being insulted like this, of course Gleb has little motivation to protect him.
* PoorCommunicationKills: Kupitman's patient gifted him a marijuana-stuffed hookah due to misinterpreting his words about wanting something to "calm down, and let mind free". Kupitman, of course, meant [[TheAlcoholic cognac]]. Patient actually considers to warn Kupitman, but [[{{Troll}} Gleb]] (who was just rudely kicked out by Kupitman) tells him that Kupitman actually liked this gift even more.

Meanwhile, Bykov continued mistreating Varya, which culminated in her accidentally hitting a shelve, from which several glass jars fell on Bykov, knocking him out -- just in time for David to appear; Varya did not missed opportunity to claim the credits, because there likely would not be another chance.

Since Gleb had an opportunity to save Kupitman, but ignored it, Kisegach allowed (still intoxicated) Kupitman to choose fitting punishment by himself -- to cover fool floor with paper... only to then remove it entirely. Kupitman finds this amusing, Gleb... not so much.

** After several seasons, Varya finally found courage to confront Bykov about his abuse? Nope, it was her ImagineSpot and she didn't tell him ''anything''. She then tried this for real, only to lost courage mid-speech, which actually enraged him even more. Same situation occurred later several times more, but by this point it was [[ExtremeDoormat unsurprising]].
** When Semyon [[GiveTheBabyAFather offered to become a father for Olga's baby, wether it from him or not]], she called him mad (in rather angry voice)... then tell what this is exactly what she needs from him, and assured him what this ''is'' his baby.

* CoolAndUnusualPunishment: Kupitman's punishment for Gleb? To force him to cover fool floor with paper... and then to remove it all. Gleb broke into hysterical laugh when he heard last one.
* DoubleEntendre: Actually, Phil has not slept with Olga when Semyon though he was; he misinterpreted her words as a sign what she wants to sleep with him (like the words "I'm bored" or "I go to sleep"), and come to her... only to realise what she meant exactly that. He lied to Varya about his success to not looking like complete fool, but unfortunately she tell to Semyon, which resurrected his conflict with Phil. Semyon tell him what this makes him not a fool, but a jerk.
* EpicFail: Varya wasted whole week with her patient whom she was supposed to discharge long time ago, resulting in her becoming ill ''again''. This caused Varya's latest conflict with Bykov and kickstarted her whole plot for this episode.
* ExtremeDoormat: David tell Varya what Bykov keeps mistreating her because she can't confront him and tell to stop. If she would demand fair treatment with sure enough look, he would respect her more. Unfortunately, she completely botched attempt to do so, which enraged Bykov even more, and he decided to press her further until she finds courage to confront him for real. She never does, but due to lucky circumstances manages to exploit trauma Bykov received by accident to brag to David what she ''did'' faced Bykov.

When here, Semyon barely constrained himself from not grabbing and destroying Olga's phone, especially when she reacted negatively to his behaviour and tell him what yes, Phil ''[[KickTheSonOfABitch may]]'' be father of her kid.
* IntoxicationEnsues: Gleb and Kupitman's plot was kickstarted when Kupitman received [[MarijuanaIsLSD marijuana-stuffed hookah]] as a gift; Gleb realised what it is first, but [[KickTheSonOfABitch decided to not warn him due to Kupitman's jerk behaviour, instead sticking around to watch the show]].
* KickTheSonOfABitch: It's hard to feel sorry for Kupitman after his [[{{Jerkass}} mean behaviour]] in this episode ([[TokenEvilTeammate and mean behaviour in general]], for that matter).
