Unfortunately, Varya seen them together and now thinks what ''they'' are in relationship... and what Lyuba is ashamed by Pasha, so she decided to "help" them. This leads to awkward situation when they (all three) comes to restaurant, and Varya accidentally ask "why they come here, if no one likes Pasha?", after which Pasha decided to just leave.

When she understandably objects, he starts arguing with her (without providing any real argument for his position). Orderly Pasha asks Lyuba for help: he wants to hit on Varya, but doesn't know how. Unfortunately, Varya seen them together and now thinks what ''they'' are in relationship. Varya thinks what Lyuba is ashamed by Pasha, and wants to "help" them. This culminates in them attending restaurant together... only for them to learn what neither Lyuba not Varya does, in fact, likes Pasha. Though he easily accepts their apologies.
