Lyuba meets her old "man", Fedor, who now wants to resurrect their relationship... and Levin is "third wheel" in his vision of their future. To protect Levin from possibly being hurt, Lyuba ask Bykov to impersonate Boris... just long enough to get rid of her ex. But Levin finds out, and is offended by her lack of trust in him.

* CantHoldHisLiquor: Gleb turns out to be this, and this is reason why Kysegach extremely worried about him, since they parted on not exactly good terms tomorrow. Unfortunately, Kupitman only learned about this ''after'' he let Gleb to get drunk, and now must somehow hide him from his mother.
* ExpospeakGag: This Bykov's monologue:

* FalseReassurance: {{Inverted}}. "Your son is delivered to the pathologist... but don't worry, he is just drunk, not dead!" As Bykov pointed out, caller was supposed to ''start'' from mentioning Gleb being alive and ending on his current location, ''not other way around''. No wonder, Kysegach instantly fainted when she heard this.
* {{Jerkass}}: Lyuba's ex is extremely [[TheBully aggressive]] and mean. And this is not counting him being [[TheAlcoholic alcoholic]] and leaving Lyuba only so nothing would stand between him and booze.
* MuggingTheMonster: Lyuba's ex makes ''big'' mistake when attempts to attack Bykov (who impersonated Levin to protect Boris from possibly being hurt).
* MustHaveNicotine: Semyon must drop smoking, otherwise his and Olga's chances to conceive a baby are slim. But desire for nicotine become progressively stronger with each passing moment... In the end, he still managed to smoke that cigarette, despite all Varya's attempts to stop him. Olga instantly recognised smoke smell, and she is not amused.
* NailedToTheWagon: Semyons' plot involves him trying to drop smoking (Emphasis on "trying"). But Varya here to help, even if it meant confiscating cigarettes of all toilet's visitors, until Lobanov leaves.
* SmokingIsNotCool: Smoking is one of the main reasons why Semyon and Olga can't have kids. To be sure what Lobanov would not smoke again, Olga asked Varya to control him. [[MustHaveNicotine But this is easily said then done]]...
* WhatTheHellHero: When Levin learns what Lyuba doesn't believe in him enough to let him deal with Lyuba's ex by himself, and instead asked Bykov for help, he is offended by this, since, apparently, he cant protect Lyuba by himself; of course, when they met each other in person, Levin gets proven wrong almost instantly.
