* BondOneLiner:
** After clanging one of Jack Slater's mooks with a frying pan during the first fight, Murdock notes (in a French accent) that it's rude to interrupt an artist while he's working.
** After driving Cactus Jack and his men out, Hannibal tells their client that what they just did was over easy, and the next time, they'll scramble Slater and his forces.

* FryingPanOfDoom: Murdock uses a pan to clang one of Jack Slater's men on the head when they invade the kitchen.

* ShoutOut: Murdock in disguise as a bomb disposal expert spends his entire time doing an impression of [[Franchise/StarWars Darth Vader]]. He claims to have a dog named "Leader" (which he clarifies "I'm on the Leader") and says that he was on The Force for 30 years.

* SpeaksFluentAnimal: Murdock talks to Shotgun, the explosives dog Face scammed to deal with a bomb threat, when he doesn't seem enthusiastic about doing his job, and Shotgun finds not just a decoy explosive, but also the real threat -- a truck full of explosives. Face remarks that Murdock has "a way with animals."

IUEO now so the name needs to be called cool in-story

* AwesomeMcCoolname: The sniffer dog Face scams to find Slater's explosives during a bomb threat is called "Shotgun", which is a pretty cool name.

* ItsAllMyFault: Hannibal comes back from disposing of the explosives truck to find Murdock having been attacked when Slater's men kidnapped Dutton's wife and daughter. Murdock keeps repeating that he's sorry he couldn't protect them, despite the fact that the kidnappers "blindsided" him.

The Dutton family, owners of the Cup 'A Joe diner, call in the A-Team after Cactus Jack Slater, a local business owner trying to force them into selling, injures the father of the family. The A-Team promptly take over the kitchen and begin making things hot for Slater, but Cactus Jack does not intend to let his business plans burn without a fight.
!!This episode contains examples of the following tropes:
* DestinationDefenestration: B.A. throws one of Slater's's men through a window during the final battle.
* FryingPanOfDoom: Murdock uses a pan to clang one of Cactus Jack Slater's men on the head when they invade the kitchen.
* HashHouseLingo: Murdock adapts quite well to cooking at the Cup A'Joe, slinging around diner slang with abandon.
* IHaveYourWife: When Hannibal comes back from driving the explosives truck away, he gets a call from Slater, saying that he has Joe Dutton's wife and daughter and if he wants them back alive, he and the team will clear out. Of course, Hannibal goes for the RoaringRampageOfRescue route instead.
* NoodleIncident: Murdock runs out of paprika midway through his cooking and asks Face to go ask B.A. to look for more. When Face protests, Murdock reminds him of some time when Face had him call a girl. No further details emerge; Face instantly agrees to ask B.A. for the paprika.
* RhymesOnADime: Murdock drops into rhyming couplets while describing what he's going to do in the kitchen.
* SickbedSlaying: Slater's men get Dutton to sign over the restaurant by threatening his wife and daughter and then plan to shoot him. Unfortunately for them, it turns out that they weren't talking to Joe Dutton; they were talking to Hannibal Smith.
* SupremeChef: Despite B.A.'s complaints that Murdock is crazy and [[LethalChef will poison the diners with his cooking]], he turns out to be quite good at it. Face says that his crepes remind him of the kind one of his girlfriends used to make.
* VillainBall: Cactus Jack Slater decides to kill the Duttons even after Joe Dutton has (apparently) signed over his restaurant to him to save his wife and daughter.
