Hakari recounts how she tried to seduce her boyfriend into some action, but he banged his head on the wall until he passed out. Karane explains how he once put her boyfriend in a full body cast, while Mimimi's boyfriend once managed to drink an entire spilled cup of tea before it stained anything.

Momiji talks about how her boyfriend helped her with practicing forearm massages by beefing up his arms like a certain straw hat pirate.

Frustrated at how many of the girls have unrelatable boyfriends, the interviewer rushes through the final five girls: Chiyo's boyfriend chased a bird that stole her glasses for miles, Kurumi's boyfriend recovered matsutake mushrooms from ferocious boar turf, Iku's boyfriend keeps her training in check, Kusuri's boyfriend lets her test new drugs on him, and Mei's boyfriend helped her see a flower meadow by secretly dressing up as Freiza.

!!Tropes:
* EntertaininglyWrong: A TV reporter decides to interview the girlfriends about their boyfriends, unaware they all have the same boyfriend, and the girlfriends don't bother correcting her.They only mention Rentarou by name once, and none of them say anything to imply he’s dating more than one of them. She's left thinking their boyfriends are monsters, when in truth Rentarou is just Like That. Then Rentarou himself pops up and she decides to interview him... and he describes the girlfriends as if they're one girlfriend.
* ShoutOut:
** The reporter interviewing the girls compares a word-covered Rentarou to Hoichi the Earless, while Momiji mentions that Rentarou has bulked his forearms up to pre-timeskip Franky proportions. Manga/AstroBoy is also mentioned.
** In the same chapter, the reporter thinks of Rentarou as a "monster matsutake hunter", and Mei tells of the time he got her to open her eyes on a date by telling her he had been wearing a Frieza costume the entire time.
** When Hahari talks about how Rentarou carried her for the entire date after her heel broke, the reporter privately compares him to the VideoGame/DragonQuestI hero.
** Shizuka, Naddy and Chiyo go off on a tangent about berserkers:
--->Shizuka: "[Rentarou] is the" "so-called berserker."
--->Naddy: Huh. I'd never heard'a vehicle like that before.
--->Chiyo: Don't tell me you're thinking of a berser-car.
** Rentarou mentions Manga/Doraemon's inventions while describing what his "girlfriend" is like.

While shopping at the mall, Rentarou and the girls split up to take a bathroom break. As the girls wait to regroup with Rentarou, an interviewer for the TV show "May I Trouble You for a Love Story?" attempts to interview the girls about their love lives.

The interviewer starts with Hahari, who recounts how her boyfriend gave her a BridalCarry for an entire date after her high heel broke. The interviewer thinks the story is too far-fetched and moves to another girl. Meme explains how her boyfriend held her bra together after it snapped, requiring more strength than a dozen safety pins could provide. The interviewer tries again with Shizuka. She talks about how her boyfriend would write excerpts from newly released books all over his body to transcribe them to her phone, even on his ears. The interviewer next asks Nano. She says that on one of her dates, they had to cross a bridge, and since she's scared of height, her boyfriend swam her across the river. The dazed interviewer tries to get a story from Naddy, who tells her about how her boyfriend gave her a horseback ride with himself as the horse.

Yamame's story is how her boyfriend broke his legs catching her when she almost fell on top of a bug. Hakari recounts how she tried to seduce her boyfriend into some action, but he banged his head on the wall until he passed out. Karane explains how he once put her boyfriend in a full body cast, while Mimimi's boyfriend once managed to drink an entire spilled cup of tea before it stained anything.
