* AdaptationalExplanation: This short explains why, in '''VideoGame/FiveNightsAtFreddysSecurityBreach,'' there are a bunch of [[NoOSHACompliance backup generators hidden in the children's daycare]], and why the Daycare Attendant doesn't seem to have good childcare programming. It also explains that the Mr. Hippo magnet that Gregory utilized was specifically recalled for messing with electronics and not supposed to be used.

When they finally talk to them, it becomes clear that she's right, and the robots are absolutely distraught and horrified about what happened to Landon.

-> Even the greener grass has weeds.

Abe Thayer is a security guard and mechanic for the Pizzaplex, but unlike the state-of-the-art entertainment facility, his life is anything but fancy. Spending all of his money to take care of his dementia-ridden mother, Abe is practically homless, living in a tire hut in Roxy Raceway and eating out of dumpsters. Finally, he gets a coveted promotion at work, one that will allow him to move into the Fazplex Tower with the other higher-ups... only there's no apartments available. Well, there's ''one,'' but nobody's allowed inside of it. Desperate, Abe breaks into the apartment and meets the helpful Bobbiedot assistants, who are all too eager to make his new life as comfortable as possible. So long as he doesn't look in the attic.

"Bobbiedots" is the first story in the ''[[Literature/FiveNightsAtFreddysFazbearFrights Tales from the Pizzaplex]]'' books (as well as its predecessor, ''[[Literature/FiveNightsAtFreddysFazbearFrights Fazbear Frights]]'') to be split into two parts across two separate books. The first half, "Bobbiedots, Part 1" is the twelfth story, and the last of the fourth book, "Submechanophobia." The second half, "Bobbiedots, Part 2," was continued as the fifteenth story, and the last of the fifth book, "The Bobbiedots Conclusion."

!!Tropes related to “Bobbiedots”:

* AbandonedArea: The Pizzaplex tunnels, where Abe goes to look for information on the Gen1s.
* AIIsACrapshoot: Subverted with the First Gen, played straight with the Second. The Second Gen, obsessed with perfection and programmed with confidence and superiority, have decided it would be better to kill their human residents, while the First Gen are following their programming to be helpful.
* AloofDarkHairedGirl: Olive has dark green coloring and seems less energetic than her sisters.
* AlternativeSelfNameChange: The Gen1 and Gen2 Bobbiedots are given different names by Abe and Sasha.
* AnimeHair: The Bobbiedots are initially described just with GirlishPigtails, but the illustration from ''The Bobbiedots Conclusion'' shows them with Music/{{Vocaloid}}-esque hair.
* AntagonistTitle: For both the RedHerring First Gen and TwistVillain Second.
* BeCarefulWhatYouWishFor: Abe has spent a long, long time desperately trying to get a Fazpartment. It turns out to be quite a bit of trouble once he's there.
* BestFriend: Abe's coworker Rodin.
* BigBadFriend: The Second Gen Bobbiedots are extremely helpful, perky, and love to hang out with Abe. They also have wanted him dead the whole time.
* BigEater: Despite being a computer program, Rose likes to create food and devour it on a constant basis.
* BlueIsCalm: Gemini is as excitable as her sisters, but she does seem to be more in-control and relaxed than, say, Rose.
* BlueIsHeroic: Played straight with Elizabeth, subverted with Gemini.
* BrightIsNotGood: The Second Gen Bobbiedots are sleek and modern-looking, in contrast to the First Gen's dull colors. The Second Gen turn out to be more dangerous.
* CheeryPink: Rose, though it leans into PsychoPink.
* ColorCodedForYourConvenience: All Bobbiedots of the "One" variety are a light blue, all "Twos" are light green, and all "Threes" are pink.
* ConspiracyTheorist: The previous occupant of the apartment, Landon Prout, apparently had a delusional paranoid disorder, and was convinced that the animatronics were trying to kill him even before the Gen2s started acting up.
* ControlFreak: At first, the Second Gen Bobbiedots just seem disappointed when Abe doesn't follow their advice. Then it turns out they've been trying to kill him over it.
* CreepyBlueEyes: On Gemini and Elizabeth; Elizabeth isn't malevolent at the least.
* CreepyGood: The Gen1s, who are ripped apart and disturbing, but still benevolent.
* DarkIsNotEvil: For the creepy Gen1 Bobbiedots.
* DisappearedDad: Abe is the only one who can take care of his mom.
* TheDutifulChild: Abe goes into debt and homelessness in order to keep his sick mother in a good facility.

* {{Fembot}}: The Second Gen have shades of this.
* FriendToAllChildren: Both Abe, who is really good with the kids who interact with him at the Pizzaplex, and Sasha, a social worker.
* GenkiGirl: Mainly Gemini and Rose, but all the Second Gen are very hyperactive and excitable.

* GoneHorriblyWrong: The reason Abe's apartment was closed was because the Second Gen turned out to be too faulty to work with, and the engineers were unable to deprogram them.
* GoodAllAlong: The Gen 1 Bobbiedots.
* GreenEyedMonster: Abe begins the story desperately envious of everyone in the Fazplex Tower due to their luck and comfortable situations. Later, the Gen2s claim that the Gen1s are envious of them and Abe in order to give them a motive for attacking.
* HappilyAdopted: By the end of the second story, it seems that Sasha and Abe have pseudo-adoped the Gen1s as family.
* HappyEnding: The second story ends with Sasha and Abe's mother being able to move into the apartment, with the Gen1s repaired and able to function as helpers for Mrs. Thayer.
* HeroWithBadPublicity: The First Gen Bobbiedots. The Second Gen very quickly manage to convince Abe that they're defective and dangerous, with Sasha being the first to realize, from her experience with abused children, that they're only trying to help.
* InLoveWithLove: All the Bobbiedots are really into romance, with Gemini specifically picking out romantic movies for Abe to watch.
* KillerRobot: The First Gen after becoming damaged and physically dangerous; the Second Gen are more intentionally murderous.
* KillingInSelfDefense: Victoria explains that the Gen1s were forced to kill Landon, as he was going to burn down the tower, and their programming puts protecting the building over protecting their tennant.
* LastEpisodeNewCharacter: Major character Sasha is only introduced in the second half of the story.
* LongHairIsFeminine: The Bobbiedots are all given long pigtails in their {{Fembot}} designs.
* MeaningfulRename: Abe names the Second Gen after their color scheme: Gemini, Olive and Rose. He and Sasha later name the First Gen after English Queens: Elizabeth, Isabella and Victoria.
* MechanicalAbomination: The First Gen Bobbiedots, who have been ripped apart and still function, unable to stop themselves from causing problems along the way. The story ends with Abe and Sasha fixing them up.
* MisanthropeSupreme: The Second Gen Bobbiedots, who want to kill their human occupants. Programmed to feel superior, they believe that humans are unpredictable parasites that need to be culled to maintain absolute purity.
* MonsterOfTheWeek: Part 1 features the First Generation Bobbiedots, robotic versions of the current holographic assistants, who are a wee bit bitter about being replaced. Part 2 reveals that the first gen are actually benevolent, and the Second Generation are actually the dangerous ones.
* TheMovieBuff: Gemini, as an A.I. programmed on entertainment and media.
* MurderousMalfunctioningMachine: The First Gen Bobbiedots become accidentally murderous after their damage starts hindering their ability to help. The Second Gen, meanwhile, became murderous all on their own after not being listened to.
* NeverGetsFat: As Rose is only a computer program, the excessive amount of food she eats does nothing to her figure.
* NoFullNameGiven: On Sasha.
* NotEvilJustMisunderstood: The First Gen Bobbiedots, who are actually trying to do their jobs through their injuries and help their occupant. The Second Gen have them trapped and set up to fail, however.
* NotQuiteDead: To save Abe and Sasha from electrocution, the Gen1s fry the entire system, killing both themselves and the Gen2s. While the Gen2s seem to remain dead, Abe and Sasha are able to repair the Gen1s.
* PinkMeansFeminine: On girly, romantic Rose.
* PsychoPink: Rose.
* RedHeadedStepchild: Unlucky, desperate Abe is depicted with red hair.
* RidiculouslyHumanRobot: Sasha tells Abe that Fazbear animatronics are programmed to "approximate human behavior," which is why they all act as they do.
* SingleTaskRobot: Of the Second Gen, Gemini is the entertainment and media A.I., Olive is in charge of news and information, and Rose is the diet and lifestyle helper.
* SmartGuy: Olive.
* SmartPeopleWearGlasses: Olive, the A.I. that provides Abe with information.
* TechnicolorEyes: Rose has bright pink eyes. While Gemini and Olive has a normal blue and green, they glow eerily like their sister's.
* ToBeContinued: "Bobbiedots, Part 1" ends with this. "Bobbiedots, Part 2" picks up right where it left off.
* TroubledChild: Sasha works mainly with troubled children, and has a huge heart for them. This is how she's able to recognize that the Gen1s aren't actually evil, as they act similarly to the kids she's trained to handle.
* TwistVillain: The Second Gen Bobbiedots. After it's revealed that the First Gen are real, it seems that they're off the hook for all the accidents... but they're really not.
* [[UnderstandingBoyfriend Understanding Girlfriend]]: When Abe confesses to Sasha that he was homeless, broke into his current house, and is being hunted by killer animatronics, she is pretty chill about it and just wants to go and see for herself if the robots are actually dangerous, or just misunderstood.
* UndyingLoyalty: Despite being trashed by the Gen1s, forced into the attic, and attacked by a panicked Abe who thinks they're trying to kill him, the Gen1s are still loyal to the apartment owner and do what they can to help him.
* VillainousCrush: The Bobbiedots, especially Rose, seem to really have a thing for Abe, to his discomfort.
* WorkingClassHero: Fazbear Entertainment is notorious for underpaying its employees. Abe is one of the many victims of this, to the point where he's homeless and eating out of the trash.
* YouAreNumberSix: Upon entering the apartment, Abe is told that his Bobbiedots are simply named One, Two, and Three. Finding this to be dehumanizing, he names them Gemini, Olive and Rose. The end of the story reveals that he and Sasha also named the First Gens [[MeaningfulName after English Queens]]: Elizabeth, Isabella and Victoria.
* YouGottaHaveBlueHair: The Second Gen Bobbiedots are computerized designs and not actual humans, and thus have some wild hair colors. Gemini has blue hair, Olive has green, and Rose has pink.
