The PilotMovie released on August 15, 2008 began the series and the first episode to air after it premiered on October 3, 2008. The first season focuses on the battles that were fought between the Republic and the Separatists in addition to their efforts to persuade more planets to join them.

Anakin Skywalker contends with his new padawan Ahsoka Tano.
