* LoserSonOfLoserDad: Or mom, in this case. Kyle becomes stigmatized by his peers for his actions emulating that of his mother. Unfortunately, they forgot she was still the person who ''started a war'' over her issues, and thus provoking him was essentially spraying gasoline on a raging wildfire.

** Given how Terrance and Phillip have long been used as a caricature of South Park and its creators before, it's doubtful that this isn't SelfDeprecation aimed at Trey and Matt for their continued reliance on juvenile humour. Kyle's comments about the former corrupting his generation's morals and how they thrive on aimlessly trying to one-up people to feed their egos could also be them admitting that they don't always live up to the motto of "we don't go into a new episode saying 'let's piss off this person, let's piss of that person'" and how they've become even bigger "cynical assholes" than [[Recap/SouthParkS158AssBurgers Stan.]]

* ShutUpKirk: When Kyle tries to dissuade Cartman and Heidi's fight because them/the onlookers aren't even giving anyone a single lightning rod any chances to actually act like a decent person, Butters belittles him for "ruining the fight" and they all laugh at him for supposedly sounding like his mom.

* BlueAndOrangeMorality: Invoked by the others against Kyle. Regardless of his flimsy reasoning for opposing Canada and trying to get rid of any and all of their media, Kyle is pretty disturbed by the school's disturbingly sadistic sense of humor and calls them out for it, especially since it's in the name of making themselves feel good and nothing else. They immediately assume he's talking about people who find pleasure in toilet humor and violence (a la Terrance and Phillip) rather than in the "simple things" and [[ShutUpKirk ruthlessly mock him.]]

* EveryoneHasStandards: While Kyle won't hesitate to get physical on many occasions, he's horrified at how chaotic and gratuitous Heidi and Cartman's fight is just because that's what everyone else in the school is encouraging.

* JerkassHasAPoint: Regardless of his reasons, Kyle's right that the school has a disturbingly sadistic sense of humor.

** The entirety of "Millennials Against Canada" calls back to [[WesternAnimation/SouthParkBiggerLongerAndUncut Kyle's mom organizing "Mothers Against Canada"]] for a similar reason. When "Millennials Against Canada" interrupts the broadcast to spread their message, Terrance states that he wasn't expecting to live long enough to go through this situation again, and Stan outright tells Kyle that he's acting like his mom.
