Eggman's Metal Virususing his new Faceship, Sonic races to catch up to the doctor while at the same time struggling to keep his own infection in check. With the help of his allies, Sonic fights to save as many civilians as he can from a crisis that is steadily spinning out of control while Eggman slowly begins to spread, infect large communities all lose his hold over the world and turning the inhabitants into Zombots. Sonic, likewise infected, finds out he can slow Along the progression by running. But when several areas where his friends live start coming under attack, he races off way though, some of Sonic's closest allies fall victim to go aid them in spite of his condition.
