* ShockwaveClap: Bruce, and later Jen, perform the iconic Thunderclap move last seen in ''Film/TheIncredibleHulk'' -- Bruce's clap sends a shockwave that sends Jen flying back several meters. Jen tries copying the move several times, but can't muster the same force as her cousin. However, her weaker version, when used repeatedly, causes Bruce to collapse from the loud noise her clapping creates, even if the individual strikes aren't as strong as his.

* BaitAndSwitch: After Bruce explains how there is no going back to what she was before, she pauses for a moment like something is wrong with her. Bruce then asks what she needs, Jen starts stuttering, appearing like she needs something very important, then the scene shifts to her eating pancakes for breakfast.

* CallBack: Bruce immediately incinerates the samples of his and Jen's blood after finishing testing and confirming everything is alright, warning Jen that people will try and get their hands on their blood for dangerous purposes and it's very dangerous. [[Film/TheIncredibleHulk2008 He definitely knows all about that.]]

* GreenEyedMonster: {{Pun}} aside, Bruce is clearly bitter that Jen ''immediately'' picked up on what took him 15 years to master, not to mention lacking the same JekyllAndHyde Complex he had before merging his identities during the time-gap in ''Endgame''. Later, she effortlessly masters doing hulk stuff, like throwing things, doing a Hulk smash... When she throws a boulder further than him, he throws another out of the atmosphere. She smashes better than him, he knocks her off a cliff.
* HowDoIShootWeb: Much of this episode is Bruce teaching Jen how to manage Hulk powers. He is adament that she learn properly so she can avoid accidentally breaking cities. She relucantly agrees to learn "how to hulk".

* IAmNotLeftHanded: As a form of training, Bruce and Jen throw boulders, and although She-Hulk seems to be stronger, when Bruce decides to stop holding back he throws an even bigger boulder further and at speeds it starts to burn up in the atmosphere.

* KnowWhenToFoldEm: Bruce eventually eases up on Jen's training when he accepts that she doesn't have the same problems as him and she has a good enough handle on her powers, settling for just leaving the door open for if she needs the help rather than keep provoking her with well meaning but unnecessary guidance.

* TheReveal: It's revealed that the change in Bruce's appearance between ''Film/AvengersEndgame'' and ''Film/ShangChiAndTheLegendOfTheTenRings'' was a result of Bruce inventing a device that allows him to return to his human appearance during times when his Smart Hulk form is inconvenient, such when he needs to ride in a car. Human form also allowed him to begin healing the damage the Infinity Stones did to his arm, but researching Jen's newly irradiated blood lets him skip that process and restore his arm to full functionality before Jen even wakes up in Mexico.

* WithGreatPowerComesGreatResponsibility: Bruce tries to tell Jen this during the flashback, but she isn't ready to hear it at the time due to being annoyed with him. Though by the way she works it into her speech at the opening of the episode, she's starting to appreciate it.

** Jen's closing argument that she's rehearsing at the beginning essentially [[InvokedTrope invokes]] this by accusing the opposing party of exercising their (financial) power irresponsibly.

* InsaneTrollLogic: Jen's opposing council's closing argument makes zero sense from a legal perspective. While claiming not guilty, he basically admits to his clients crimes, but claims they were justified because he was expanding his business. He gives no legal or ethical reason as to why this would be the case.

*** Bruce says that normally getting his blood into someone's system would dose them with a fatal amount of gamma radiation. Way back in his first MCU film, half a blood drop diluted into a full bottle was enough to give Creator/StanLee a reaction from the very first drink.

No reason for the boulder to be capitalized.

* IAmNotLeftHanded: As a form of training, Hulk and She-Hulk throw Boulders, and although She-Hulk seems to be stronger, when Hulk decides to stop holding back he throws an even bigger Boulder a bunch of miles.
* IdiotBall: Averted. The usual plot device of keeping the dangerous blood/serum around for some accident or misuse later on is stopped dead in its tracks when Bruce destroys the samples he took once he's done with them. Jennifer thinks that is a bit extreme, having GenreBlindness on this point, but long-time MCU fans will know that given how much trouble [[Series/AgentCarter Captain America's]] [[Series/TheFalconAndTheWinterSoldier blood caused]], never mind ''Bruce's'' back in ''Incredible Hulk'', it's one hundred percent the right call.

* SuperiorSuccessor: Played with. In terms of control, Jen is leagues ahead of Bruce. She retains her mind right from the start (though the burst of anger gets the better of her the first few times), and she eventually learns to shift forms at will, compared to Bruce's transformations being strictly one-way. He took fifteen years to get where he is, while she is implied to have taken about a month or so at most. Though in strength, Bruce is still far superior if the Boulder-throwing feat is any indication.

Not this trope. This is about someone tricking two people into fighting and the third party avoiding the conflict. No one forces Jen and Bruce to fight.

* LetsYouAndHimFight: Bruce is insistent that Jen stay in Mexico with him and learn enough about her powers to be a superhero like he is, while Jen is just as adamant about only gaining enough control to return to her life and career as soon as possible. When she tries to leave in his Jeep he physically blocks her exit, and they end up brawling over it until the fight destroys Bruce's hand-built tiki bar. They reconcile in the process of rebuilding it.
