While on their way back to Lumiose City for Ash's gym battle with Clemont, the rest of our heroes run into Tierno, who already won the Voltage Badge, but from Clembot. He and Ash decide to have a battle, Pikachu and Sliggoo vs. Tierno's Raichu and now-evolved Wartortle. But the match is quickly put on hold when Team Rocket attacks and steals the battling Pokemon.
