The group runs into Shining Armor in the Grand Desert, who is investigating rumors of Team Shadow being spotted in the desert and have found the Hidden Temple. Flash and the others decide to help him stop them, but are they in over their heads?

* HopeSpot: When the group battles Team Shadow, it seems like they are winning, with Shining Armor even defeating Doom Raizer in a Pokémon battle. But then Team Shadow plays dirty by setting their soundwave generator at full power, forcing everyone to return their Pokémon to their Pokeballs, leading to everyone being captured.
* TemptingFate: Twilight mentions they are only a day and a half's walk from the next spring, and says they should make it in plenty of time if nothing distracts them. Immediately after she says this Flash groans "[[YouJustHadToSayIt You just had to say that, didn't you?]]" right before all their Pokémon suddenly get headaches and they are attacked by a Douburrow.
