*AbsurdlySharpBlade: Chen describes an Anacondrai sword as the sharpest blade in Ninjago.
*ArmorPiercingQuestion: Kai asks Skylor whether it was her idea to get Kai to fall for her or Chen's, causing her to reconsider her role in her father's plans.
*BittersweetEnding: The Elemental Masters have their powers restored, the Ninja are fully reunited for the first time since Season 3, and the Anacondrai Cultists are forced into hiding. However, Skylor has been captured and Chen is not down for the count, with plans to complete the spell even without his staff.
*ContinuityCavalcade: Chen has trophies from the Ninja's past adventures, such as Zane's pink gi, Captain Soto's peg leg, and a piece of the Celestial Clock.
*CostumeEvolution: Cole receives his Jungle robe in this episode, and Zane's Jungle robe (which he's had since the start of the season) is upgraded with shoulder pads.
*DrunkWithPower: The Staff of Elements corrupts Kai with its power, causing him to nearly attack Lloyd.
*FakeDefector: Kai pretends to defect to Chen's side, but he's just biding his time to steal the Staff of Elements.
*HiddenDisdainReveal: It's revealed that Kai has held jealousy over Lloyd being the Green Ninja for a long time.
*HighHeelFaceTurn: Skylor's feelings for Kai combined with her anger at her father's willingness to risk her life leads to her betrayal of Chen and siding with the Ninja.
*KarmicDeath: Garmadon discusses it, lampshading that after killing the biggest snake in Ninjago it's only fitting that the second-biggest comes to pay him back. He fortunately survives thanks to the Elemental Masters breaking in and crushing the Anacondrai serpent.
*MistreatmentInducedBetrayal: Garmadon grabs Skylor and threatens to harm her if Chen doesn't let them go. Chen calls Garmadon's bluff. He turns out to be right, but his callous disregard of his daughter's life is the final straw for Skylor's HeelFaceTurn.
*PleaseSpareHimMyLiege: Skylor begs Chen to not send Kai to the factory with the other Elemental Masters, claiming he can help them. Chen accurately pinpoints that she's just crushing on him, but complies and lets Kai go.

**13th place: Cole
**12th place: Jacob
**11th place: Chamille
**10th place: Tox
**9th place: Shade[[note]]Captured first in the previous episode[[/note]]

**7th/6th place: Neuro and Griffin Turner[[note]]Captured after Mr. Pale, but unclear which of them was captured first[[/note]]
**5th place: Jay[[note]]Captured offscreen, but happened shortly before Kai. **4th place: Kai[[note]]Captured at the end of the previous episode; all Elemental Masters besides Lloyd and Skylor were captured by the time he was thrown into the cell[[/note]]
**3rd place: Skylor[[note]]Willingly gives up her powers shortly before Chen takes Lloyd's powers[[/note]]
**2nd place: Lloyd[[note]]Would have been technical winner due to being the last remaining Elemental Master[[/note]]
**1st place: Chen[[note]]self-proclaimed winner[[/note]]
*WreckedWeapon: Kai destroys the Staff of Elements, restoring everyone's elemental powers.
