* PrimaDonnaDirector: Jurgen von Stroheim.

* PrimaDonnaDirector: He is the great Jurgen von Stroheim.Stroheim, and his talking props won't read the words that his genius has approved!
* SelfDeprecation: When discussing remakes, Jestro wonders why people think explosions make movies better. Cue a kiosk blowing up.

* BringMyBrownPants: Clay's character in the Golden Castle movie [[RunningGag constantly]] wets his "knight suit", much to Clay's [[WhoWritesThisCrap annoyance]]. During the finished cut of the movie, ManipulativeEditing is used to make ''Lance'' say the line instead, which amuses Clay.

* {{Foreshadowing}}: When talking about the Golden Castle, the Book of Monster says that he ''heard'' of a battle between Merlok and Monstrox having taken place there. In a later scene, he bemoans the performance of an actor portraying Monstrox, saying he couldn't get it right. [[spoiler: Gee, [[SarcasmMode wonder how he knows so much about Monstrox...]]]]

* WeWillNotUsePhotoshopInTheFuture: You'd think in a universe where realistic holographic projections can be easily created, the filming studio wouldn't need cardboard props or suit that don't even try to look realistic, but they still use both. They don't even fix it with CGI!

Added DiffLines:

* BadBadActing: The entire process of filming the titular movie, just to emphasize how ridiculous the script really is: Lance's acting is hilariously over the top, while his friends say their lines in deadpan tone, with Axl even getting Lance's name wrong.
* BullyingADragon: When meeting Jestro, Stroheim makes the mistake of laughing at the guy. He's lucky to have survived. Granted, he believed Jestro was an actor, but still.

* VanityProject: What Lance turns the movie into with his meddling with the script.

* TheDogBitesBack: Possibly. It's not confirmed, but Lance's antics could be the reason Stroheim edited the footage so that the final cut would make the knight look even worse than he was.

Lance earns a leading role in the remake of the classic movie 'The Golden Castle' while the other knights star as extras. Macy initially declines but eventually agrees to star in the movie.

While pillaging a village Jestro and the Book of Monsters see a poster for the movie. The Book of Monsters, who was around when events of 'The Golden Castle' took place but has been locked away for many years, inquires to what a movie is. As Jestro explains about how movie actors have to read lines from a script the Book conspires to steal the script to learn about the modern world.

On the set of the movie it is clear that the whole thing is a mess; Lance's acting is terrible and Jurgen von Stroheim, the director yells a anyone who criticizes his script. While the knights are filming, Jestro summons Lavaria, monster super spy; Jestro takes a liking to her and orders her to find the script so the Book of Monsters can gain its power, which they do.

Fortunately Robin has created new additions for the knights, presenting them with Ultra Armor which gives them more powerful weapons allowing them to save the day. After the battle Jurgen remarks that the movie is ruined as the set has been destroyed but then finds an ''interesting'' way to save the production.

At the premier Lance is overjoyed at the showing of his first major role. His happiness is short-lived as he realises that while Jurgen couldn't save the film footage he did film Jestro's attack including when Lance's armor malfunctioned. Everybody laughs at him and his agent dumps him in an instant in favor of Macy who is shown in a positive light in the recording.

!!This episode contains examples of the following tropes:
* HumiliationConga: After being an arrogant prat while filming the Golden Castle remake, Lance's armor malfunctions during Jestro's attack, which is all filmed by the director and shown to the entire kingdom at the film's premiere, making everyone laugh at Lance, and causing his agent to dump him in an instant.
* ThePrimaDonna: Lance. He even asks the director to change the script to make it more about him.
* PrimaDonnaDirector: Jurgen von Stroheim.
* SmallNameBigEgo: When given the part of a lead in a movie, Lance insists the movie be rewritten to be even more about him than it already was, and starts throwing a tantrum when Clay and Macy dislike the results.
