Before the duel, Guel takes his half-brother's Dilanza to the owner and his dorm mates' shock. Lauda also tries to have the committee abort the duel, but Shaddiq stops him as Guel and Elan prepare to fight. The Dilanza's brute strength and versatile melee combat prowess allow Guel to keep moving and continue the battle, but suddenly, Elan's new machine, the FP/A-77 Gundam Pharact, unleashes its drones which fire stun lasers which leave the Dilanza incapacitated, another sign of the new machine using the GUND Format. With this technology, Elan easily destroys Guel and his stolen Dilanza without breaking a sweat. Following this victory, Elan coldly declares to Suletta that if he defeats her, he will claim her Gundam.

As the day ends, the Earth house dorm mates marvel at the Gundam Aerial's mechanisms and advanced technologies while Suletta relates a little of her past to Aliya. Suddenly, Suletta gets a call from Elan, and quickly assumes he wants to go out with her. As night falls, the others learn of Suletta going with Elan and assume she ditched Guel for him, noting Elan never smiles. Suletta also tells her mother about her "date" with Elan before the Shin Sei Corporation leader gains word of Peil Tech making a move, as Elan hypothesises Suletta being another enhanced human as well.

The next day, Suletta prepares the Aerial to meet with Elan when Miorine barges in and calls her out for going along with a person from one of the top three branches as the redhead hastily leaves. Suletta meets with Elan who takes her and the Aerial to an empty testing sector with his partner explaining her relationship with her Gundam. Elan then offers to test out the Aerial to which Suletta accepts. With Elan taking over the controls, the "Ice Prince" activates Permet level two and discovers the Aerial is definitely a Gundam. Suletta continues trying to reach out to the white-haired boy after he disembarks but he coldly brushes her off. Suddenly, Guel, having received word of Suletta going with Elan, barges into the conversation but Elan challenges him to a duel, one which Guel intends to use to ensure Elan stays away from the new Holder if he wins.
