The first episode of the second series opens with an invitation to Fujiko (who just came from stealing a wedding ring from two guys on a Hawaiian beach trying to propose to her), Jigen (who's living in UsefulNotes/Sydney, Australia, showing up a group of skeet shooters with his sharpshooting skills), and Goemon (who was last seen in Hong Kong, kicking the asses of several Chinese thugs) from Lupin to reunite with him on board a luxury cruise ship five years after the gang's previous adventure. Lupin, of course makes a grand (slightly failed) entrance via parachute. Later, as the gang dines together, Lupin presents the fact that he did not send the others their invitations, and that his own was sent in Fujiko's name. Zenigata, tipped off to the gang's reunion and recently promoted to the ICPO, also makes his presence known. Shortly thereafter, dinner is interrupted by a booby trap that crushes the table. The gang decides to investigate further.

Added DiffLines:

* Bowdlerization: The version shown on Adult Swim cut the short scene of Fujiko in the shower (and the pan up her naked body) after her day at the beach(the edited version goes from Fujiko slipping the ring into her bikini top to her in a towel reading Lupin's letter). The scene is uncut on DVD and Hulu streaming.
