On an otherwise normal summer day, Dinky comes across Trixie having interrupted Zecora casting an unknown ritual on Ponyville. The next day, Dinky notices the adults of Ponyville are acting stranger than usual. And then even stranger the day after that...

!!Tropes:
* AlcoholInducedStupidity: Pretty much everyone in Ponyville, except Ditzy, who just stays hungover for most of the story.
* AdultFear: From the other way around. The foals of Ponyville are kids, having to watch all the adults getting completely blotto due to a magical mishap, with no means of stopping them.
* DaddysGirl: Diamond Tiara. Her solution to a problem is scream for her father to help. Meanwhile, her internal monologue never mentions her mother ''once''.
* HappyEverBefore: The story ends pretty upbeat, with the foals having saved the town and everybody apparently okay. The very next story explores the damage incurred by several days of drunken partying in a much more serious light.
* KarmaHoudini: Zecora manages to escape jail by busting out off-screen.
* NiceJobBreakingItHero: Trixie manages to stop Zecora casting a spell that would've put all of Ponyville to sleep, but in the process changes the spell to make every adult in town want to drink uncontrollably.
* NoNameGiven: Mrs. Rich appears in the story, but goes unidentified by name (since her getting a name in-show was several years off).
* RiddleForTheAges: Exactly why Zecora is trying to put everyone in Ponyville to sleep goes unsaid, especially since it doesn't seem to jibe with Corona's goals.
* SkewedPriorities: Understandable since they're foals, but even when they know the situation is serious, the kids make some mind-bogglingly stupid decisions.
