* WhamLine: So far, Mr. Friendly has appeared to be the leader of the Others, as he led the kidnapping of Walt and parlayed with Jack. However, when he chews out Ethan for kidnapping Claire before preparing the list and that this will displease "him," it's the first indication of a higher authority among the Others.

* BittersweetEnding: Claire fails to find the medicine she was looking for at the Staff, though it turns out Aaron's illness is only minor and he recovers anyway, while Rousseau doesn't find her daughter, but takes solace from Claire's suspicion that Alex is the girl who helped her escape, meaning she is both alive and a good person despite the Others' influence.

Added DiffLines:

* OnceMoreWithClarity: It's revealed why Claire scratched Rousseau's arm, which she had previously had a flashing memory of doing in "[[{{Recap/LostS01E24And25ExodusPart2}} Exodus, Part 2]]". Rather than trying to capture her and trade her to the Others for Alex, as Claire suspected at the time, Rousseau was trying to save her, with Claire trying to escape from her to return to Ethan due to her drugged state.

'''Season 2, Episode 15'''
!Maternity Leave
->Written by Dawn Lambertsen Kelly and Matt Ragghianti.
->Directed by Creator/JackBender.

Flashbacks cover the two weeks during which Claire was kidnapped by the Others. At a DHARMA Initiative medical facility, the Staff, Ethan keeps Claire drugged and compliant while he injects her at regular intervals with what he claims is a vaccine for the baby. Eventually, a teenage girl frees Claire, telling her that the Others plan to kill her when she gives birth. She encounters Rousseau in the jungle, and scratches her when she stops her from returning to the Others.

In the present, Aaron is coming down with a rash, and Claire is convinced the Others have done something to him. With Libby's help, Claire's memories gradually start to return. She and Kate track down Rousseau, and the three head back to the Staff. Claire doesn't find the medicine she's looking for, but she realizes that Rousseau was trying to help her, and tells her that she thinks the teenage girl who saved her was her daughter, Alex. Aaron recovers from his fever, much to Claire's relief.

At the Swan, Eko discovers Henry's existence, and convinces Jack to let him talk to him. He tells Henry about the two Others he killed on his first night on the Island, and asks for his forgiveness. Henry needles Locke about whether he or Jack calls the shots, and a frustrated Locke throws some plates on the ground, which Henry hears.
