Carlin is writing a history of the island of [=KikoRiki=]. Wally comes in looking for ski grease. He is outraged about Carlin's writing, because it says that he is afraid of skiing and now his descendants will remember him as a coward. Wally goes to Rosa and begins to write his own history in a fabulous style. Meanwhile, Krash and Chiko are building an ice pyramid with rock carvings. Languages change over time, and drawings are understandable to everyone.

Pin also records his story on a dictaphone. He talks about the Ice Age and dinosaurs. Dokko suggests that Pin write a story about himself, but he objects. If only his recordings survives in the future, then everyone will think that no one lived except Pin. Olga arrives in the house, as she is also writing her own history. Dokko is terrified, because everyone's writing a history in their own way, and those who'll have to sort out these notes in the future will go crazy. Olga reminds her friends that Barry is in hibernation, and will be their first reader. This idea occurs to all their friends, and they run to Barry. Krash and Chiko were first to the goal, having already dragged him out of the house and taking him to their pyramid on a sled. Seeing their friends running to them to get Barry, Krash realises that their historical future is in danger and runs with Chiko to the lake. Other narrators pursue them, only to all be stopped by Carlin.

He offers to let someone be on duty every day and record everything that happens. Everyone likes this idea, and the storytellers go home, leaving Barry on the lake. Barry wakes up and sees the history of his friends around him. He thinks that a catastrophe occurred while he was sleeping, and he is the last survivor. He then decides to write a new history.
