Furious that one of his "evil genuises" failed to "rule and destabilize this part of the world", the Devil gives an ultimatum: Iznogoud has 10 days to succeed or he will be trapped in Hell for all eternity. He decides to give him an "Accomplice" to help him; HilarityEnsues as Iznogoud tries to discover which one of the people he meets is the "Accomplice" sent by the Devil.
