** While both acknowledge that they love each other and have been through so much together, Colleen makes it clear that she and Danny need to take some time apart to find their purposes, since having a lack of direction has been putting a strain on their relationship for a while now. Danny is saddened by the decision but understands and resolves to better himself so he can be more worthy of her.
** While Ward finally speaking at an NA meeting about his problems and implicitly apologizing to Bethany for his behavior is definitely a good step forward, and she is clearly touched by it, she nonetheless turns down Ward's offer to be there for their child and declines his attempts to get back together, since that doesn't erase Ward's awful treatment of her before, and he still has quite a ways to go.

* {{Irony}}: Davos protests Colleen’s right to be the Iron Fist during their fight. With the reveal of Colleen’s ancestry, the power is WAY more her rightful inheritance than it ever could be his.

* SiblingTeam: The series ends with Danny and Ward working together.

* CombatPragmatist: A less violent version than usual: Once Misty takes over Danny's fight with Walker, Danny is able to end their fight by slicing a water pipe (simulating rain) and having Misty use her phone flashlight like a strobe, which suppresses her Walker personality and brings out the sweet, non-violent Mary alter.

* FinalKiss: A goodbye kiss between Danny and Colleen because they both have to walk their separate paths.

* IfYouKillHimYouWillBeJustLikeHim: Colleen invokes this when she refuses Davos's request to kill him after taking the Iron Fist from him.

* GrandFinale: The series ended up cancelled not long after it's run, making this episode the final one for this series. Though Danny could likely show up in other shows.
