Starting off (H & I aired this episode today)

Added DiffLines:

Directed by: David Straiton

Written by: Sean Whitesell

The hospital participates in a documentary about a high school student with a deformity on his forehead. Dr. Chase explains that the surgery will repair most of the damage about the deformity, but the documentarian wants a soundbite, something along the lines of that the boy will be ready for prom.

The reconstructive surgery has to be put on hold because the boy suffered from a heart block during surgery.

! This episode contains examples of the following tropes:
* DistractedByTheSexy: Dr. House by Dr. Samira Terzi (Creator/MichaelMichele). If she worked at the CIA (as seen in the previous episode), she must be good, but why did she say something dumb at the differential? They all say dumb things at differential? Ultimately House fires her, realizing that he hired her only because of his sexual attraction to her.
* LampshadeHanging: Dr. House says that "walks look good on camera" because "they give the illusion of the story moving forward."
* ManipulativeEditing: The advance copy of the documentary sent to Dr. Cuddy portrays Dr. House as a sympathetic, caring doctor, by taking some of the things he said out of context.
* ProductPlacement: We clearly see the General Electric logo on the MRI. This is somewhat gratuitous because Dr. House could have chosen some other location at which to evade the camera crew.
* ShoutOut to ''Film/PatchAdams'': Supposedly the 1998 Creator/RobinWilliams movie inspired Gregory House to become a doctor (this episode first aired on November 13, 2007). Of course House is joking, but the documentarian takes the remark at face value, and includes it in the documentary.
