** Despite being the one who freed the Justice League and the one who ''actually'' stopped Dr. Psycho and saved the day, Harley gets no recognition either. The Justice League are all praised and rewarded for saving the day when they were too busy checking each other out under Ivy's pheromones to do it. Granted this is very {{Downplayed}} when you remember that Harley started the entire mess to begin with when she began the invasion due to her emotional immaturity, and the Justice League were already successfully dealing with the situation, defeating the mind controlled Clayface, King Shark, and Poison Ivy, and almost certainly would’ve beaten Dr. Psycho and Riddler. The only reason they got taken out of commission was because Harley distracted them from sending Ivy to the Phantom Zone allowing Psycho the opening he needed. So while Harley deserves credit for freeing the Justice League, given she caused the mess and then nearly let Dr. Psycho win, her lack of any reward is completely understandable.

* SurprisinglyRealisticOutcome:
** Kite Man managed to get past Ivy having sex with Harley but just because he comes to forgive her rather quickly doesn't mean that the incident is forgotten. In fact, it's one of the things that makes Kite Man realize that he and Ivy just aren't right for each other.
** Harley warns Ivy that she heard from Two-Face about Gordon's plan to crash the wedding and arrest everyone. Ivy doesn't listen to her since it came from Two-Face.

* SympathyForTheDevil: One of the cops express sympathy for Kite Man after the knowledge of Ivy's cheating becomes public and says that he's too good for her.

* BigDamnKiss: Harley and Ivy share one as they're fleeing from the police, enough to get a 180 degree camera move around them. Even though they've kissed and even had sex before, this is the first time they do so after Ivy has admitted she reciprocates Harley's feelings for her. The kiss is therefore portrayed in a more epic and romantic way than their previous trysts, signaling their RelationshipUpgrade.

* AmicableExes: The episode ends with Kite Man and Poison Ivy becoming this. There's mutual fondness on both sides (if not love), but Kite Man urges her to realize that they aren't right for each other and in the long run won't make each other happy. Never-the-less, they part on good terms.

* DidYouThinkICantFeel: Downplayed by Kite Man, who points out that his relationship with Poison Ivy has involved her hesitating to commit to every relationship milestone, and said milestones all ending in some kind of disaster or mishap where they had to "do-over" (their first night, their first date, his proposal, their selecting a venue, their wedding day, etc) have been taking their toll on him, and he can't do it anymore.
* DoggedNiceGuy: Kite Man lampshades this trope during his wedding vows, and in the process deconstructs it. He preemptively agrees with attendees that [[WhatDoesSheSeeInHim Ivy is way out of his league]], and he starts to counter by boasting about how after asking and asking and ''asking,'' he ''finally'' wore down into agreeing to date and then marry him. In the process, he seems to realize that she was never as into him as he was into her, and one of the reasons he breaks up is he'd rather be with someone who wants to be with him just as much as he wants to be with her.

* ScrewThisImOuttaHere: Tawny takes her news crew and leaves in disgust when it's obvious that Gordon's reach for glory is going south. Kite Man pulls this on Harley and Ivy as well at the end after finally becoming fed up with their shenanigans, leaving them to deal with the police on their own.

** When Harley offers to cinch Kite Man and Poison Ivy's wedding after Gordon and the police raid it and burn the Old Gotham Corn Factory down, Kite Man surprises them by emphatically rejecting her offer. He then clarifies that ''every single'' milestone in their relationship has involved some kind of disaster or mishap that they had to "do-over," and he had to beg and plead a reluctant Poison Ivy into committing to said milestone to begin with, and he can't take it any more. While he makes it clear that he still loves her and means her no ill-will, he can tell her heart is not really in this relationship, and he doesn't want to go on suffering to get her to commit to a marriage that her heart is clearly not in.

to:

Added DiffLines:

* WhatDoesSheSeeInHim: Deconstructed. Kite Man knows most people think Poison Ivy is out of his league, and tries to assuage them that he still won her over with his [[DoggedNiceGuy charm and determination]]. However, over the course of explaining this he slowly realizes that Ivy was never that into him to begin with, and the confidence boost of having a girl "way out of his league" is hollow if she doesn't feel the same way about him. That, combined with Kite Man wanting Ivy to be happy and knowing it won't be with him, is one of the reasons he decides to break things off.

* ShoutOut: The first joining up of "Harley and Ivy" in the ''Batman: TAS'' episode of that title drew immediate comparisons with ''Film/ThelmaAndLouise'', though the similarities were complete coincidence at the time. ** However, there are several loose ends, as neither King Shark nor Clayface have wrapped up their arcs, Two Face who created the entire mess of this episode is still out there, Darkseid doesn’t pop up despite his ominous message in the previous episode, and there’s no resolution for Gordon potentially ruining his reputation, so there’s clearly a lot to work with in future seasons.

* UngratefulBastard: Despite pushing himself to the physical and psychological limit trying to bring Gotham back under control, Commissioner Gordon gets stiffed on receiving a key to the city as the mayor instead grants them to the Justice League (including three heroes who weren't even there) and ''himself.'' Gordon, understandably pissed off by this, decides to run for mayor to finally get the respect he deserves.

** Despite being the one who freed the Justice League and the one who ''actually'' stopped Dr. Psycho and saved the day, Harley gets no recognition either. The Justice League are all praised an rewarded for saving the day when they were too busy checking each other out under Ivy's pheromones to do it.
