* NobodysThatDumb: [=CopyCat=] points out that while he's one-for-one copying Man-Cat otherwise, he's not an idiot who built in a weakness to water just for authenticity. His suit still shorts from water hitting exposed wires, but the initial point stands.

* PrehensileTail: [=CopyCat=] has a mechanical, extendable one with a claw (not dissimilar to the mechanical tentacles of Doctor Octopus), which he uses to slash and throw cars, and grab cats from afar to refill his hairball gun when he's out of ammo.

* VerbalBackspace: At one point, [=CopyCat=] claims that he got nine wives. He misspoke and meant to say "nine lives", but that won't stop the news from exposing cats to have 9 wives.

* BeYourself: Gretel tells Kevin he should just be himself in front of Hiromi, and tell her that he still reads Bull Boy comics (which Kevin initially refuses because he doesn't want to further embarrass himself in front of her). After seeing Gretel telling [=CopyCat=] the same thing about being yourself, Kevin eventually does tell Hiromi, and remembers that [=ManCat=] originated from a Bull Boy comic.

After seeing Gretel telling [=CopyCat=] the same thing about being yourself, Kevin eventually does tell Hiromi, and remembers that [=ManCat=] originated from a Bull Boy comic. In both cases, Gretel HangsALampshade on this common moral by adding "like the grown-ups say on TV."
* BilingualBonus: The untranslated Spanish dialogue on Los Amores de Consuela is about Consuela actually being a wax figure.
* DaytimeDramaQueen: Hamster is out of the action for most of the episode because he's watching his favorite telenovela Los Amores de Consuela.
* IKnewIt: InUniverse. Hamster says this when Consuela confesses that she's actually a wax figure.

* LockedInARoom: Kevin and Hiromi are trapped in the comic book store after cars thrown by [=CopyCat=] block both the front and back entrances.

Added DiffLines:

* Namedar: Invoked. When Gretel says both Kevin's and Hiromi's names, to throw off suspicion over why she would know their names, she adds that "you look like a Kevin/Hiromi."

* SoapWithinAShow: Los Amores de Consuela, Hamster's favorite telenovela.

Kevin and Gretel visit the mall's comic shop Hiromi works at, as a feline-themed supervillain called [=CopyCat=] terrorizes civilians at a nearby parking lot. As Gretel takes off to fight [=CopyCat=], a couple of thrown cars trap Kevin and Hiromi inside the comic shop.

!!Tropes:
* AnimalsHateHim: Given the terrible treatment [=CopyCat=] gives to the cats he's stolen for his hairball gun, and you understand why they hate him back.
* Irony: [=CopyCat's=] favorite supervillain is [=ManCat=] and copies literally everything from him... yet, when he's defeated, he then claims he's a dog person. Additionally, in spite of dressing as a cat, his weapon involves completely depilating any cat stuffed into it (which a cat lover would never do) in order to shoot hairballs.
* KillItWithWater: Double subverted. As [=ManCat's=] WeaksauceWeakness is water, Kevin assumes the same for [=CopyCat=] and instructs Gretel to douse him in water. As it turns out, [=CopyCat=] is not weak to water at all... but with so much exposed wiring on his person, he might as well be.
* LivingBattery: [=CopyCat=] uses a gun that shoots sticky hairballs, which are made from real cat hair. As in, there's an actual cat inside of his hairball gun, and said cat is being completely depilated inside the gun, one shot at a time. We can see cat with long, pretty fur being taken by [=CopyCat=] inside of it, and being turned into poor, hairless creatures by the time [=CopyCat=] needs to reload.
* MeaningfulName: [=CopyCat=] dresses as a cat, and copies everything from comic book character [=ManCat=].
* PrehensileTail: [=CopyCat=] has a mechanical, extendable one with a claw (not dissimilar to the mechanical tentacles of Doctor Octopus), which he uses to slash and throw cars, and grab cats from afar to refill his hairball gun when he's out of ammo.
* ShoutOut: Hiromi picks up a comic with an ad for aqua primates.
* VerbalBackspace: At one point, [=CopyCat=] claims that he got nine wives. He misspoke and meant to say "nine lives", but that won't stop the news from exposing cats to have 9 wives.
