!Auguste of the Dead

As the crew makes repairs to the Grandcypher, a letter arrives from Mari stating that tourism at Auguste is expected to decrease due to the yearly wave of monsters, which Rackam suggests using the opportunity to visit.

After getting permission to head out on their own, Lowain, Tomoi, and Elsam comes across a shifty individual giving a light bite to Lowain. While the three pass it off as nothing, things turn for the worse the morning after.

!!Tropes
* CasualDangerDialogue: While being bitten, Mimlemel tells the zombie to mind their manners.
* GenreSavvy: After a few instances of it, Meg grows wary about how similar the death flags are and eventually goes full-on awareness, saving the crew multiple times along the way.
* MyGodWhatHaveIDone: Kolulu makes a stew for the remaining survivors, not knowing the ingredients she used was contaminated. She realizes that her taste-testing causes her to become infected, deciding to flee for everyone else's safety.
* HopeSpot: As the survivors finds a chopper, Roger hogs it all for himself and leaves the others to rot. Unfortunately for him, his gloating is a death flag itself, leading to him getting shot down.
* TheImmune: Due to being infused with shark particles, Meg is the only person with immunity against the virus, which she immediately takes the chance to cure everyone after finding out the hard way.
* RainbowSpeak: Every instance of a death flag has its text colored in purple.
* SenseLossSadness: As the zombified crew makes plan on zombifying the Captain, they notice how bad the zombification is when Lowain is unable to cook porridge properly and Tomoi think the bland porridge tastes good.
* SkewedPriorities: The first thing Catura does after being zombified is to ask the Captain if she's still pretty.
* ShoutOut: The event makes nods to popular zombie works such as The Walking Dead and Resident Evil. At one point, one line was retranslated to reflect Resident Evil's popular "Itchy. Tasty." line as well.
* TemptingFate: Whenever a death flag shows up, expect something bad happening for the person that spoke it. Especially with Catura teaching the concept of death flags, then setting one off not long after.
