James Bond (Creator/RogerMoore, played by Carolyn Faye Kramer) is in a rough spot, still mourning the death of his wife Teresa, who was killed by his archnemesis, Ernst Stravo Blofeld. However, duty still calls for our agent as a helicopter comes to pick him up and take him towards his next mission. Then suddenly, the pilot drops dead, the helicopter starts flying by itself, and Bond hears the familiar voice of Blofeld over the radio. As it turns out, the head of S.P.E.C.T.R.E. is flying the helicopter remotely, and has transformed it into a DeathTrap for his old foe. Will 007 prevail? Or will Blofeld finally manage to break the British agent's winning streak?

* NamedInTheAdaptation: Due to rights issues surrounding the character, it was ''technically'' left ambiguous in the film if the villain in the BondColdOpen really was Blofeld, (though it was of course ''heavily'' implied.) Paulo, however, decides to just screw that and confirm his identity, giving Bond more of a motivation to take him down.

* {{Reconstruction}}: Could be seen as one, as Bond manages to survive even without his PlotArmor. His only failure -- Blofeld managing to slip through his grasp -- simply happens due to bad luck and has no real impact on Paulo's test.
