* BuriedAlive: The "Vampiress" (Sarah), after Ed confuses the hell outta her with a "stake" (steak) "driven" to her heart, taking the opportunity to grab her and throw her into a grave. When the hallucination ends, she really ''is'' buried alive as Edd rushes over with a watering can to literally grow her out of the ground, causing Sarah to "sprout" like a plant with fresh tomatoes growing from her ears.

** When Double-D suggests that they cancel their trick-or-treating and take Ed home due to Ed’s hallucinations making him violent, Eddy selfishly refuses Double-D’s advice due to wanting candy, which leads to Ed beating up more kids. As a result, all the kids Ed beat up form an angry mob and beat Eddy up.

* MisplacedRetribution: Even by this show's rules. The vengeful kids beat up Double-D and Eddy for something that was COMPLETELY Ed's doing! Meanwhile, they don't even lay a finger on Ed! See IdiotHoudini above.

* RunningGag: Nobody can get what Double-D is supposed to be; Johnny believed he was barf, Rolf referred to him as the 'doggy doo-doo suit Ed-boy', and even Ed initially thought that the Bubonic Plague was that stuff you usually brush your teeth for.

* TreasureMap: Eddy's Brother gives Eddy one that supposedly leads to a candy-rich town called Spook-E-Ville. However, it's revealed to be a FoolsMap as [[GoingInCircles it only leads the Eds in a circle]] back to the Cul-de-Sac. You'd think Eddy would've known better considering what happened [[Recap/EdEddNEddyS3E18OEdEleven the last time he followed one of his brother's maps]].

** When Double-D points out that Ed’s hallucinations are making him violent and suggests that they cancel trick-or-treating and take Ed home, Eddy selfishly refuses Double-D’s advice due to wanting candy, which leads to Ed beating up more kids. As a result, all the kids Ed beat up form an angry mob and beat Eddy up.

* ShownTheirWork: In-universe. Double-D compliments Nazz (who's dressed as Medusa) on dressing up as a classical monster as opposed to a pop culture one.

* FaceHeelTurn: The first time Ed encounters the giant spider, it doesn’t attack him and Ed describes him as kind-hearted. However, when Jonny comes after the Eds for beating up Plank, Ed envisions the giant spider as part of the monster army attacking them.

* IJustWantToHaveFriends: Ed claims the GiantSpider he mistakes Jonny for is harmless and only wants to have friends.

* NotEvilJustMisunderstood: Jonny as the GiantSpider, at least according to Ed. While Ed uses violence against all the other monsters (except the Kankers, who terrified him too much), he opts instead to appease Jonny with an offering of candy, which works like a charm.

* VillainTeamUp: This is what Ed sees in the climax. All of the "monsters" he and his friends defeated on their journey joining forces to smash them.

* WouldHitAGirl: While Ed normally [[WouldntHitAGirl isn't allowed to do it]], he probably makes an exception when it comes to female "villains" (his hallucinations of Sarah and Nazz).

* LaserGuidedKarma: When Double-D points out that Ed’s hallucinations are making him violent and suggests that they cancel trick-or-treating and take Ed home, Eddy selfishly refuses Double-D’s advice due to wanting candy, which leads to Ed beating up more kids. As a result, all the kids Ed beat up form an angry mob and beat Eddy up.

* NeverMyFault: While most of the kids were innocent victims who'd done nothing to warrant Ed's wrath, '''Kevin''' is not among them--he genuinely attacked the Eds ForTheEvulz, thus he got what was coming to him when Ed's imagination kicked into high gear. Yet, during the climax, he has [[PlayingTheVictimCard the nerve to see himself as the victim]].
* NoHoldsBarredBeatdown: The entire special.
* NoodleIncident: At the beginning of the special, Eddy is seen coming out of detention for apparently filling the teacher's desk with processed cheese. He still thought getting detention on Halloween was bogus.

* FunWithHomophones: While battling the "vampiress", Ed claims "A stake will defeat you!", while pulling a ''steak'' out of his pants before slapping it against her and burying her. Afterwards, Eddy asked Ed if he had anymore of those steaks.

* IWantMyMommy: When Ed accidentally [[EyeScream stabs Rolf in the eye]] with his spatula, Rolf cries out to his mama, saying he needs a bandage. Ed, who saw Rolf as a giant troll, grabs his friends and says they must hurry before "the troll's" mother comes.
* JerkassHasAPoint: Sarah confronting the Eds and demanding they return Jimmy's candy. Even her resorting to violence is excusable since Ed beat the hell out of Jimmy without provocation.

* DownerEnding: The episode ends with Edd and Eddy getting beaten up for Ed's actions. Nothing goes right for the trio, except for Ed.

* BittersweetEnding: More bitter than sweet. Eddy and Edd realize that the former's brother had duped him with a fake map to a town that doesn't even exist, and the two Eds get beaten up by the neighborhood kids--but they don't pound Ed, who's the only one with a happy ending.

* KickTheSonOfABitch: Kevin was the only one who actually warranted the beat-down Ed gave him. Downplayed with Sarah, who had a good reason to attack Ed (see JerkassHasAPoint).

** Johnny: A [[GiantSpider spider monster]]
