This is just plot happens.

* SurprisinglyRealisticOutcome:
** Gosalyn reaches out to Darkwing for help in exposing Taurus Bulba but Darkwing turns down doing so. He points out that she's guilty of two break-ins at this point and is leveling accusations about a well-respected citizen with no evidence to support her claims. Despite being sympathetic to her situation, he can't just attack someone on her word alone. When he agrees to help, he decides to investigate until they find evidence that Bulba stole the invention from Grandpa Waddlemeyer.
** When Louie expresses his wish to use the Ramrod to create infinite gold, Huey points out that all that would do is devalue the price of all the gold in the world. Therefore, his infinite no-longer-rare gold wouldn't be worth much. But, Louie still likes to dream.
--->'''Louie''': ''Stop ruining things for me!''
** Having been years since the ''Darkwing Duck'' TV show, it could be expected that the citizens of St. Canard will have tried to turn their infamously crime-ridden city around by electing good leadership. To elaborate, more often than not, the real cure to crime-ridden locations isn't costumed vigilantes punching crooks but actual implementation of better police work while preventing corruption from taking place among the higher-ups. Having someone like Owlson as Mayor cleaned up the city better than Darkwing Duck ever did in ''his entire career''.
*** However, converse to this, and as a situation that has (thankfully) never occurred in real life: strong leadership, a well-trained police force, and low corruption have a lot less impact on ''actual, legitimate supervillains'' and other larger-than-life [[OutsideContextProblem Outside Context Problems]] like the Shadow War and the Moonvasion. Those are ''exactly'' the kinds of situations that call for equally-larger-than-life heroes to save the day. To her ReasonableAuthorityFigure credit, Owlson immediately recognizes this fact, and explicitly puts out a call for help to Darkwing once the Fearsome Four begin their rampage.
** When Huey and Louie ask about Launchpad's friend, Drake, Dewey and LP make references to his superhero identity and snicker at each other's cleverness. Louie immediately deduces that Drake is Darkwing Duck. Huey looks similarly unimpressed.
** After narrowly escaping Bushroot, Bradford is quite unnerved. Upon it being suggested he should never feel more alive than after such a situation, he points out he's actually never been closer to death.
** As Drake points out, he's never fought supervillains before; most of his skillset focuses on common crooks. Sure enough, his first few bouts with the Fearsome Four one-on-one end up curbstomping him; when all four gang up on him, he gets captured easily and delivered to Bulba. Launchpad and Gosalyn have to provide backup support to make the fight more even.
** Bradford increasingly showing his disdain for the Ducks and their lifestyle as he travels around Bulba's building with the triplets ends up incriminating him to them. By the time he's communicating with Black Heron to retrieve him, the HDL Trio are quick to suspect him as another villain. They're right, with Bradford recognizing it right before tossing them into another dimension.

** Bonkers has unpleasant encounters with each of the Fearsome Four. Fitting, as Creator/JimCummings voiced both the bobcat and Drake/Darkwing on their original shows.

* AdaptationalNonsapience: Zig-zagged; Bushroot is now a plant monster that doesn't speak and only makes shrieking noises, but is still intelligent enough to follow orders.

** There are multiple references to the WesternAnimation/DarkwingDuck opening sequence. From Mayor Owlson paraphrasing it asking for Darkwing Duck's help, to Dewey humming it as he sneaks past Bushroot's roots (with Bradford pretending to play a saxophone), to the end of the title sequence being shown on the Ramrod before the Fearsome Four emerge.

* SparedByTheAdaptation: Gosalyn's grandfather was tossed into a dimensional rift and lost to the farthest reaches of the multiverse instead of being killed on Bulba's orders. While he is effectively out of the picture due to Gosalyn having to destroy the Ramrod, he is assumed to still be alive somewhere.

* CompanyCrossReferences: When Darkwing nearly calls it quits during his HeroicBSOD, his lines are not too dissimilar to a certain [[WesternAnimation/ToyStory1 space toy]], both commenting on how their lives had been a sham, but at least complimenting their outfit at the time as looking good.
