However, he shows mercy and relents when he sees how devastated and remorseful the friend and his family are, and decides to give him the presents the dead boy would have gotten.
* ChristmasEpisode: One of two during the original 1950s run, adapted from the original 1949 radio script (which was re-acted and repeated during the Christmas season during the radio run). For some reason, never re-adapted in the 1960s version (although had the show continued into the 1970s, a script would have likely been adapted for the times).
