JustForFun/{{The one w|ith}}here the Sixth Doctor '''[[FamilyUnfriendlyViolence MURDERS]]''' someone '''''with fucking cyanide''''', during a nice relaxing holiday in Spain. [[note]](Although he did this to avenge a friend he met along the way, given how said friend used cyanide to collect moths. Also keep in mind that the guy that Sixth killed, ''kidnapped Peri in a disgustingly sexual manner.'' Still, the whole "the end justifies the means" philosophy the Doctor tends to avoid has now been put into grim use. It might be in-character for early-days Sixth, but it's ''not'' something the Doctor (as a whole) would do at all.)[[/note]]

Written by Creator/RobertHolmes. This three-episode serial first aired from February 16 to March 2, 1985. Incidentally, the 45-minute length of each episode meant that the story's total runtime was comparable to the six-part serials that Nathan-Turner had done away with when he became producer in 1980; accordingly, international airings reedited the story into six 25-minute parts.

* ShoutOut: At one point, the Doctor, trying to figure out where his other self has gone, remarks that for some reason he's thinking about getting a haircut; this would of course be a referrence to ''Theatre/TheBarberOfSeville'', the place where the Second Doctor is being held captive. To cap off the reference, the Doctor then begins to hum the start of the "Figaro" aria.

%% * GladIThoughtOfIt: (ZCE. Needs an example)An expected reaction between Two and Six.
* GettingCrapPastTheRadar: After the Doctor insults Peri's intelligence ''much'' more harshly than he normally does Peri can be seen mouthing "asshole" while he's not looking. Since she doesn't actually say it out loud and the story has [[BloodierAndGorier far more intense moments ahead]] it probably barely registered with the censors.

Here we are, the final [[TheNthDoctor multi-Doctor]] adventure of the old TV series. (Well... [[Recap/DoctorWho30thASDimensionsInTime sort of]].) There wasn't really a reason for this one to happen, but Creator/PatrickTroughton had had so much fun on "[[Recap/DoctorWho20thASTheFiveDoctors The Five Doctors]]" that he was eager to return to the series. It provided producer Creator/JohnNathanTurner [[VacationDearBoy a fantastic excuse to work outside Great Britain]] for the third time in his reign (and the fourth time in the franchise's history). It was originally slated to be in UsefulNotes/NewOrleans, but even the most optimistic people realized that this was completely insane, so it was quickly changed to Seville, UsefulNotes/{{Spain}}.
