* NotHimself: People possessed by Eyesmon act very erratically because they're influenced to gather data as his diet. They are very touchy and nosy to an absolutely bizarre degree; a cop can be seen barging into an apartment looking for cameras, followed by an influencer ecstatically stalking celebrities on three tablets. The audience can also notice some obvious behavioral changes on Emma when Eyesmon is influencing her, but it goes right under Kiyoshiro and Hiro's radar that something is probably wrong with her because she was like that anyways. Even when the heroes know that she is possessed by a Digimon, this isn't a part of their concern compared to the grating BodyHorror inflicted upon her.

* BodyHorror: This episode might as well as be called "''Body Horror: THE Episode''". People who are influenced and/or possessed by Eyesmon have unnatural red eyes, [[EyesDoNotBelongThere have eyes growing all over their body]], and if it goes long enough their skin will peel off to become eye stalks resembling those of the Digimon that possessed them. Afterwards, the victim will die, and his first victim was likely minutes away from being killed when the party is discussing how to deal with him.

* TheGadfly: Emma Hanes is well known by Kiyoshiro to be very nosy and gossip happy even back in his university days, having been exposed his "secret diary" and posted it all over social media. Therefore, he calls her "Emma Devil Hanes" and doesn't seem to be too happy answering her request for dates. It's also the reason why Emma's abnormal behavior (a.k.a. acting a bit more touchy and ecstatic than usual) when possessed by Eyesmon flew completely past Hiro and Kiyoshiro's radar, because she wouldn't act any more or less different in their viewpoint.

* PeoplePuppets: Unlike in ''Digimon Adventure:'', Eyesmon's Janengan is cast through ''Emma's body''. It's implied that he can do this because his victims are considered his extensions and not simply minions.

* RightForTheWrongReasons: Kiyoshiro is weary of Emma knowing about Gammamon and Jellymon, something which noticeably put Hiro and Ruli on high alert. Turns out she doesn't really mind the Digimon around, but she was possessed by Eyesmon and might die at any time.
