* {{Foreshadowing}}: The Mega Men enter the battle in the same order they leave it. Volnutt is present first, and is offed by the combined Black Hole without a prayer. Rock arrives next, and though the same singularity offs him, he manages to almost last until it blows. Then X, Star Force, and .EXE are unceremoniously dropped in -- all three of them survive the Black Hole, and their specific farings represent their relative power levels (see FiveSecondForeshadowing above).

* UpToEleven: During the post-fight analysis, Wiz brings up the number '''''novemdecillion'''''. Boomstick observes that 61 digits is the biggest number they've ''ever'' used on the show.

** Poor Mega Man Volnutt. He may be a powerful robot in his timeline, but compared to literally every other Mega Man, he's a complete joke. He never gets to do anything meaningful in the fight and he gets unceremoniously killed when all the others fire their black holes at each other and X throws Classic at the giant black hole, who ''accidentally'' hits Volnutt and launches him into it as the first kill.

This is a lot of needless natter that defeats its own point; why complain about the overlooked details when they wouldn't change the outcome? Also, critical research failure is when something is gotten wrong that even anyone unfamiliar with the topic would notice, not details that require intensive knowledge being overlooked.

** It doesn't help that the analysis of Volnutt massively undersold his greatest weapon: the Shining Laser. Boomstick simply describes it as "a laser that shines", when in the first Mega Man Legends game the fully upgraded Shining Laser is capable of defeating both phases of the games final boss in seven seconds. Not only that, it also has unlimited energy. Combine it with the Buster Max upgrade for Volnutt's Mega Buster (which was not mentioned at all) and it's clear Volnutt should have stood more of a chance against at least Classic Mega Man and X.

* CriticalResearchFailure: Though .EXE most likely would have won the match anyway, Boomstick and Wiz's claim that .EXE is capable of destroying and recreating the equivalent of an entire universe is derived from combining the canon of the Mega Man Battle Network games, anime, and manga, which conflict with each other in multiple ways. The most relevant example is that the Cyberworld is only said to be equivalent in size to the universe in the manga (with the footage from the games of .EXE supposedly in the Cyberworld's equivalent of space coming from a space-themed area of Mega Man Battle Network 4), and .EXE only absorbed and recreated the Cyberworld in the anime. Beyond this, .EXE is only established to be Hub Hikari in the games; a Hub Style with a different backstory appears in the manga, but no such form ever appears in the anime and no reference to Hub is ever made.
** Though Volnutt still would possibly be first to lose, the analysis of his weaponry massively undersold the power of his ultimate weapon. In the first Mega Man Legends game, the fully-optimized Shining Laser is capable of defeating both forms of the final boss in mere seconds, and it has unlimited energy. The sheer power of this weapon could have especially threatened classic Mega Man, though it wouldn't make up for Volnutt's other shortcomings.

*** Unfortunately, this doesn't make up for the fact that Volnutt's analysis massively undersold his Shining Laser (a weapon with infinite energy capable of defeating both phases of his first game's final boss in less than seven seconds) and completely omitted his Buster Max upgrade for the Mega Buster.
