* BrainWashed: Riaja had apparently changed during her time with SOMBRA, as her brother recalls how she returned "different" after her months-long disappearance, becoming lazier and paranoiac about everything. Following Elliot's advice, the Bureau arrives to Ubud, Indonesia, to investigate what plans SOMBRA and [[Recap/CriminalCaseWorldEditionCase32AStabInTheDark Anbu Devanesan]] could have in the country. Once there, it doesn't take long before Jack and the player stumble onto the body of Riaja Somalinggi, the SOMBRA recruit they saw on a DVD back in Japan, lying on the beach and with a spear impaled on her torso.

!!Tropes:
*AnimalLover: Paul Irwin, which fits him as a parody of [[Series/CrocodileHunter Steve Irwin]].
*AnimalTesting: Prof. Metcalf claims to be visiting Indonesia to perform experiments on monkeys, and says it doesn't count as animal cruelty since he's only giving them [[ProfessorGuineaPig what he tests on him first.]]
*BaitAndSwitch: During an analysis regarding the victim's toy monkey, Lars tries to tell you a joke before he's interrupted by Jack due to being on a hurry to solve the murder. Lars comprehends... and says you're definitely not monkeying around.
*BioAugmentation: What SOMBRA is revealed to be doing with their brainwashed human test subjects on the camp. According to Elliot, they are granted either [[SuperIntelligence intelligence]], [[SuperStrength strength]], or [[SuperSpeed speed.]]
*TheBusCameBack: Asal Hawaa reappears as a quasi-suspect after being absent since [[Recap/CriminalCaseWorldEditionCase17HorsebackMountain Case 17.]]
*BrainWashed: Riaja had apparently changed during her time with SOMBRA, as her brother recalls how she returned "different" after her months-long disappearance, becoming lazier and paranoiac about everything. Later, you also find a recording by left by [[TheShrink Maya]] calling her tests "cognitive retraining", further supporting thins.
*CallBack:
**[[Recap/CriminalCaseWorldEditionCase31DeathMatch Prof. Marshall Metcalf]] reappears as a suspect.
**The victim is the same girl seen on a DVD at the end of [[Recap/CriminalCaseWorldEditionCase30TheMurderGames Case 30.]]
*ClassifiedInformation: What Asal claims her mission on Indonesia is.
*ContinuityNod: The photo Jack and Asal took mounting a yak in [[Recap/CriminalCaseWorldEditionCase17HorsebackMountain Case 17]] appears again.
*CrushTheKeepsake: Alam did this himself to a handprint mold of him and his sister, which was an important part of his childhood memories, since she hated how much she changed due to SOMBRA's experiments.
*DemonicPossession: Mbah ''believed'' the victim was under this due to her TechnicolorEyes and SuperSpeed, hence why he tried to perform an exorcism on her and Riaja's blood was on his knife.
*IDidntMeanToKillHim: Maya claims she just tried to stop Riaja from running away, and panicked before shooting her with the speargun when she had no other option.
*EvilutionaryBiologist: Prof. Marshall Metcalf is revealed to be a member of SOMBRA and the one conducting BioAugmentation on their test subjects, [[ScrewTheRulesImDoingWhatsRight though he believes he's doing the right thing.]]
-->'''Marshall:''' Well, I have nothing to be ashamed of! I'm proud of what I've achieved!
-->You won't understand, <Player's Name>, but I'm working to improve the human race! I turn these kids into better versions of themselves.
*FluffyTheTerrible: Paul named a saltwater crocodile he found "Clive".
*GhostTown: An abandoned village appears as a crime scene, which makes it the perfect place for SOMBRA to establish a secret experimentation camp there.
*GirlsLoveStuffedAnimals: Alam tells you how her sister was always carrying a toy monkey he gave her when they were kids, and you later find it with a clue regarding the killer.
*HesitationEqualsDishonesty: When you discover a piece of equipment belonging to Prof. Metcalf in the SOMBRA camp, he hesitates while denying being involved with them.
*ImpaledWithExtremePrejudice: The victim was killed by being shot with a speargun.
*ImplausibleDeniability:
**Marina has a lot of trouble believing that [[TheShrink Maya Salim]] could be running psychological tests on the victim in a camp owned by SOMBRA without knowing what SOMBRA is, and she later turns out to be right when Maya is revealed to be a proud member of the organization.
**Later, you also find some of Prof. Metcalf's equipment in the SOMBRA camp, but denies being involved with them [[HesitationEqualsDishonesty despite hesitating with his words.]]
*JustAKid: Elliot wishes to stop being seen as this, claiming that he's fine despite everyone's concern about his well-being following his kidnapping in the previous case.
*JustFollowingOrders: Asal tells Jack she couldn't tell him she was in Indonesia because she's under orders from the Mossad and shouldn't feel bad about it.
*MischiefMakingMonkey: During your visit to the Monkey Bridge, one of them steals Jack's sunglasses.
*MorallyAmbiguousDoctorate: Prof. Marshall Metcalf, though he's more [[ForScience driven in the name of science]] than outright evil.
*MyGreatestFailure: For Alam, failing to protect his sister Riaja after being the only family she had left in the world is this, crying while you inform him about her death.
*NoodleIncident: When Lars informs he needs to speak with you about Jack, Carmen says she hopes they didn't argue about what movie to watch again.
*NotProven: Despite the overwhelming evidence that Prof. Metcalf is behind the BioAugmentation program led by SOMBRA, the Bureau is unable to arrest him due to all of the test subjects being "volunteers" which means he's technically not doing anything wrong.
*OedipusComplex: Marina accuses Jack of having one after he sees "two dwarves fist bumping" on the inkblot test you find.
*TheParanoiac: Both Maya and Paul recall how the victim had grown to be extremely paranoiac over time due to SOMBRA's experiments, believing that the food Maya offered her was poisoned and Paul was an agent sent to kill her.
*PsychoPsychologist: Maya Salim is a psychologist working for SOMBRA who is willing to kill their test subjects in case they try to escape.
*ResignationsNotAccepted: Riaja attempted to escape from the SOMBRA camp due to not wanting to be experimented on anymore, which led to her being killed by the psychologist conducting the brainwashing program.
*ShoutOut:
**The case's title comes from the song of the same name by Music/GwenStefani.
**The victim resembles [[Franchise/TombRaider Lara Croft.]]
** During the case, an inkblot test is found. Jack sees it as [[VideoGame/FalloutNewVegas "two dwarves fist bumping"]].
** Paul Irwin is a parody of [[Series/CrocodileHunter Steve Irwin]].
*TheShrink: Maya Salim, a psychologist working under SOMBRA, appears as a suspect.
*SuperSpeed: What Riaja's BioAugmentation ability was. Coupled with her TechnicolorEyes, it led to Mbah to believe she was suffering from a DemonicPossession.
*TechnicolorEyes: A side-effect from the SOMBRA experimentation program is that the test subjects' eyes become yellow, which is how the Bureau manages to deduce that Baxter Fraser, the boxer they met in [[Recap/CriminalCaseWorldEditionCase31DeathMatch Case 31]], was one of them.
*TestedOnHumans: Prof. Metcalf is testing his BioAugmentation experiments on the SOMBRA recruits, which are mostly succesful apart from changing the color of their eyes.
*UnintentionalFinalMessage: Riaja sent a message to Baxter asking him to meet in New Zealand so they could escape from SOMBRA's clutches, not knowing that she would die after trying to run from them.
*WitchDoctor: Mbah Tirta, one of your suspects, proclaims himself as the local witch doctor of the village, and attempts to sell you protective and lucky spells whenever you interrogate him.
