After a massive tsunami hits Mumbai, India, Ingrid orders Jack and the player go to a flooded museum to see if there are any survivors that might be trapped inside the building. There, both agents find the body of Deepak Kumar, a police constable, shot in the chest.

!!Tropes:
*AccidentalMurder: Deepak's murder was entirely an accident, as he sneaked behind his paranoid sister while she was alone in a museum, which led to Amrita think she was going to get mugged and shot at him without second thought. For this reason, Judge Adaku gives her a lenient sentence of 7 years.
*ActualPacifist: Om Padmasana likes to preach about how both anger and violence are bad things that he would never engage on, and he recommends Jack and Jonah to do the same due to their outbursts.
*AmbiguousCriminalHistory: One of the killer's traits is that they have a criminal record, since they torn off a page from the victim's notebook which detailed one of their crimes.
*ArsonMurderAndJaywalking: Jack calls Sandeep a danger to the citizens of Mumbai due to hiding his infractions, speeding, and failing to yield to a cow twice.
*BleedEmAndWeep: Amrita felt so remorseful after murdering her brother she cried and wiped her face with his handkerchief, then she left a message begging for forgiveness near his house.
*BigBrotherInstinct: Deepak was so focuses on keeping her sister safe that he bought her a gun and followed her around to make sure nothing bad was happening to her. Unfortunately, this led to his accidental death.
*CallBack: [[Recap/CriminalCaseWorldEditionCase19BadMedicine Om Padmasana]] returns (though this time as a suspect rather than a minor appearance), and it's revealed that his real name is Ezra Hope, the hippie you met in [[Recap/CriminalCasePacificBayRhineCanyonDistrict Rhine Canyon]] back in [[VideoGame/CriminalCasePacificBay Pacific Bay.]]
*{{Cliffhanger}}: The case ends with Ingrid informing you about a fatal disease epidemic breaking out in Bangalore, requiring the Bureau to fly there to provide aid.
*ConMan: Both the victim and Jonah accuse Om Padmasana of being a fraud that just pretends to be a spiritual guru so he can scam people, though nothing has been proven yet.
*ContinuityNod:
**[[Recap/CriminalCaseWorldEditionCase19BadMedicine Rising Hope]] makes another appearance, this time with NGO spokeswoman Charity Stern.
**Elliot mentions how Om Padmasana/Ezra Hope has misdemeanors involving marijuana, like you learned about in [[Recap/CriminalCasePacificBayCase41TheSeedsOfDeath The Seeds of Death.]]
*DaChief: Chief Medhekar, the police chief of Mumbai police and the victim's boss, appears as a suspect.
*EagerRookie: Chief Medhekar tells you Deepak was this, always ready for the job even though he was just a rookie.
*GiantWallOfWateryDoom: Judging by the Chapter 1's cover art (pictured above), the tsunami that hit Mumbai had this appearance.
*GoodIsNotNice: Charity Stern is an honest spokeswoman for NGO who has been leading Rising Hope's aid in Mumbai, but she's also quite blunt and unpleasant whenever you talk to her. Probably {{Justified}}, since she's suffering from stress due to all the work she has behind her.
*HelpingGrannyCrossTheStreet: Since Deepak was a rookie cop, Chief Medhekar tells you this was mostly what he did during the job.
*HorseOfADifferentColor: Not only Sandeep's license allows him to drive tuk-tuks, but also tigers and elephants.
*IgnoreTheFanservice: Charity tried to seduce Deepak so he would sign her working permit, but he refused after he discovered she had a criminal record.
*{{Koan}}: Om Padmasana speaks mostly with these.
-->'''Om:''' What are we ALL doing here, <Player's Name>? The universe is so vast! The present moment holds all infinity!
*MassiveNumberedSiblings: Sandeep likes to talk about his "many many cousins."
-->'''Sandeep:''' Sure, sure! I remember all my customers, <Player's Name>! With a big family, a good memory is very important! I have many many cousins! I have to remember them all!
*ObfuscatingInsanity: Jack is convinced that Om Padmasana's guru shtick is him just acting insane so he can get off scot-free and avoid police interrogation.
*OperatorFromIndia: Amrita Kumar, the victim's sister and one of your suspects, is a call center worker.
*PerpetualSmiler: Sandeep is never seen without a big smile on his face.
*ThePollyanna: Despite all the crap going on around him, Sandeep Sadhra is always seen smiling and full of energy no matter what.
-->'''Sandeep:''' But we should cherish life while we're alive! Ride tuk-tuks! Eat papadums! Hug our cousins! Just call me if you need a ride, <Player's Name>!
-->'''Jack:''' Is it a cultural thing, to stay so upbeat after a disaster?
*ReformedCriminal: Chief Medhekar used to be a gangster in his teenage years until he quit to become a cop, which apparently didn't sit well with the victim's philosophy that no one can be fully redeemed.
*RejectedApology: Jonah tries to offer Marina an Indian amulet symbolizing forgiveness due to what happened between them back in Russia, but she refuses to forgive him and sends him off out of her office.
-->'''Marina:''' Well, I'm glad we had this talk, Jonah. But it will take more than an amulet for us to become friends.
*RejectionAffection: Marina brushes off Jonah's attempts to flirt with her due to still not forgiving him about trying to kill her back in Russia.
*RunningGag: There's one of Jack trying to bring his girlfriend Asal into the conversation only for someone to interrupt him before he can finish.
*ShipTease: Another one between Jonah and Marina, with the former trying to apologize and telling her he refused to kill her back when he was an assassin due to finding her beautiful. Unfortunately for him, Marina rejects his advances.
*ShoutOut:
**One of the killer's traits is that they quote UsefulNotes/MahatmaGandhi.
**In the Flooded Museum scene, there is a statue of the Hindu god Durga holding a familiar [[ComicBook/TheMightyThor hammer]].
*StreetUrchin: According to Amrita, she and her brother grew poor in the streets among other orphans.
*TemptingFate: After the case is solved and Lars invites you and Jack to get some curry, Jack suggests hurrying before Ingrid pops up to say they still have work to do. Guess what happens after a brief chapter transition?
*UrbanRuins: Just like New Delhi, Mumbai has been destroyed by a natural disaster, though this time a tsunami took care of the job.
