'''A Plot:''' Davis starts coaching a kids' soccer team and brings Brent and Lacey on as team sponsors. Davis forces British "football" terms on everyone, while Lacey and Brent bicker about how tough to be on the players.

'''B Plot:''' Karen gets scared of driving after rolling into a ditch, so she recruits Hank to drive her around. Fear turns into comfort as Karen enjoys Hank essentially chauffering her around.

'''C Plot:''' Emma and Oscar take Wanda's VHS tapes that she was giving away and discover a hidden gem: an embarrassing audition tape Wanda did for a college broadcasting course that she had forgotten all about. They tease her relentlessly about it and won't give it back. Wanda vows to get revenge by showing an old film reel of the Leroys and a lobster, but first she has to find a way to view such old technology.

!!Tropes referenced:

* EightiesHair: In the audition tape, Wanda is sporting a heavily teased and sprayed hairstyle.
* BaitAndSwitch: Hank is driving crazily in the patrol car (see HoistByHisOwnPetard below) and even taking his hands off the wheel. The scene shows the cop car going over a cliff, but then pulls back to reveal it's just a movie Oscar was watching.
* BaitAndSwitchComment: After Lacey had yelled at the kids the day before:
-->'''Lacey:''' Hey, are you two talking about the game yesterday? Because I feel really badly about the way I handled things.\\
'''Davis:''' I am ''so'' glad to hear you say that.\\
'''Lacey:''' I shouldn't have yelled at those kids ''right after'' the game.\\
'''Brent:''' You took my candy away, too.\\
'''Davis:''' I completely understand. Junior football can get a little crazy sometimes.\\
'''Lacey:''' I should have made them run laps first, showed them the consequences of their actions, [[CrossesTheLineTwice then laid into them]], teach them a lesson.\\
''[Brent and Davis just stare at her in surprise]''\\
'''Lacey:''' Yeah, next time. ''[suddenly smiling]'' Anyway, I gotta run. Bye!\\
'''Brent:''' Well, ''that'' was pretty creepy.
* CantTakeCriticism: The only time Oscar isn't laughing hysterically at Wanda's tape is when she's doing a mocking impression of him. He claims it sounds nothing like him, [[IResembleThatRemark but then immediately proves that it does]].
* ComicallyMissingThePoint: Hank overhears Karen talking on the phone about her "driver" and assumes it's someone they have to pick up. He doesn't get that he ''is'' her driver until it's explicitly spelled out for him.
* CompetitionFreak: Lacey is irate at a ''kids' soccer team'' for losing. She berates them, takes their candy away, and calls them losers. She even derides their parents for being "parents of losers".
* ConversationalTroping: Wanda hypes up the lobster film:
-->'''Wanda:''' [[AmusingInjuries There's a lobster pinching Oscar's nose!]] This stuff only happens in cartoons, people!
* DescriptionCut: Wanda gets a film projector from the local high school and claims they were very helpful. Cut to the school where it's revealed that Wanda broke in and stole it.
* EveryManHasHisPrice: The father of a kid named Peter convinces Brent to let Peter play more in the soccer games by pointing out the duel tanks on his truck, indicating that he could spend a lot of money at the gas station.
* ForeignCultureFetish: Davis becomes obsessed with all things British. Brent mocks him for it.
-->'''Brent:''' Well that's it then, blokes. Let's celebrate with some bangers and mash and ring up our mobiles, or my name isn't "Sir Al-u-mini-um Boot-Bonnet".\\
'''Davis:''' Is he having a laugh?\\
'''Lacey:''' Or some kind of seizure.
* HintDropping: Karen comes into the Ruby and tries to hint to Hank that he needs to drive her to a police emergency without letting out the embarrassing secret that she's too afraid to drive. At first he is ObliviousToHints, but once he gets it he almost blabs it out loud, prompting Karen to stomp on his foot to shut him up.
* HoistByHisOwnPetard: After Karen feigns still being scared to drive, and Hank realizes she's just using him, he gets her back by purposely driving her around way too fast.
* HypocriticalHumor:
** Lacey criticizes Brent for blowing so much of the sponsor budget on his own soccer jacket, but changes her mind immediately when he shows her he bought her one, too.
** Brent has a conversation with Davis where he promises to keep "control freak" Lacey in check, while at the same time pressuring Davis to play Peter more.
* InsistentTerminology: Davis wants the kids on the team to be used to British verbage, like calling soccer football and referring to the field as the pitch. He's just as likely to get the terms wrong, though.
* OffscreenCrash: At one point on Wanda's tape, she starts tossing a football around while pretending to be a sportscaster. The ball slips out of her hands and flies offscreen, then there's a sound of breaking glass.
* OldShame: Wanda's audition tape.
* RefugeInAudacity: After Brent and Lacey are fired as team sponsors, they show up at the game anyway and actively boo small children.
* ShaggyFrogStory: After Karen initially gets spooked about driving:
-->'''Hank:''' You know, when I was a kid my Grampa took me on a horseback ride and I fell off the horse.\\
'''Karen:''' And your Grampa made you get right back on. I get it, Hank.\\
'''Hank:''' No, the horse stomped on my ribs a bit and then kicked me in the head... twice. Anyway, what were we talking about?
* ShoutOut:
** The episode title is a shout out to the soccer film ''Film/BendItLikeBeckham''.
** Emma asks Wanda "what's the catch" to taking the VHS tapes for free. Brent replies "one of you must drive a silver Delorean". [[PopCulturalOsmosisFailure They don't get it]], so he has to explicitly state that he's referencing ''Film/BackToTheFuture''.
** Emma and Oscar try to watch one of Wanda's VHS tapes, of ''Film/KramerVsKramer''. Oscar [[PopCulturalOsmosisFailure thinks]] it has "that guy from ''Series/{{Seinfeld}}''" in it.
