Plot happens.

* SurprisinglyRealisticOutcome: Daniel learns, again, that not everyone is as receptive to the Miyagi-Do way of training as he and Robby (and presumably Sam) were. As a result, he is forced to take a slightly different approach with Demetri.
** Doing a kata at anywhere near full speed is ''not'' a good idea when you're teaching a beginner, since they'll rush to follow you and as a result end up messing up the moves.
** On the flipside of Miyagi-Do training, Demetri immediately figures out how each exercise is to teach him muscle memory so that he unconsciously uses karate moves. While he does do the exercises, his initial lack of commitment and effort meant that he would not learn the moves as effectively as Daniel or Robby did when they started.
** As brave as Demetri was when standing up against Hawk, he is still a new karate student against an experienced and aggressive opponent with four others as backup.

Cool Loser TRS cleanup, has been renamed to Unconvincingly Unpopular Character and is a YMMV audience reaction.

-->'''Demetri:''' My whole life I've been, let's just say... less than popular. [[CoolLoser But at least I had a few friends.]] And then Cobra Kai comes to town, and the next thing I know, my friends are taking karate and [[TookALevelInJerkass becoming alpha jerks]]. I'm literally being threatened by my best friend. I just wanted to show I could fight back.
