"Madame [=LaCarla=] is the third episode of the tenth season of ''Series/{{Cheers}}''.

Carla is terrified when she is informed that her psychic, Madame Lazora, called for her at the bar. Carla assumes that it must be some sort of terrible news, but when Madame Lazora shows up, she has a surprise: she is retiring to Florida and she wants Carla to take over her job as a psychic. Carla is surprised, but Madame Lazora insists that her spirit guide, "Princess Katja", says that Carla has the gift.

In the B-plot, Woody has a part in his theatrical troupe's presentation of ''Theatre/ArsenicAndOldLace''.

!!Tropes:

* EarthAllAlong: DiscussedTrope. Sam fell asleep before the ending of ''Planet of the Apes'' and the others blow his mind when they tell him that Creator/CharltonHeston was on Earth all along.
* INeverSaidItWasPoison: Woody's clumsy attempt at hiding behind the bar is busted when Rebecca calls Bradken the director by name, and Bradken observes that he never told Rebecca his name.
* PhonyPsychic: Not that it wasn't obvious before, but out of nowhere, right before Carla is about to see her first client, Madame Lazora says "I'm a complete fraud." At the end Carla has decided to take up the role of a phony psychic.
* ShoutOut:
** Woody has a part in ''Arsenic and Old Lace''. Cliff's mom seems to have really enjoyed a story about old ladies poisoning people.
** Sam fell asleep and missed the ending of ''Film/{{Planet of the Apes|1968}}'' on TV.
* TemptingFate: Norm tells a bummed-out Woody that while the theater critic may have panned his performance, at least they got his name right. Rebecca then observes that the article actually says "Woody Doyb is weak."
