In this Christmas Episode, Cat is so desperate to get the present he wants that he sells himself and Dog to Rancid Rabbit's spoiled niece, an act that an already-cynical Santa Claus finds so awful that he cancels Christmas.

!!Tropes:
* AngryFistShake: The Greasers, the Rabbits, Eddie, and Winslow all do this as they’re getting ready to pummel [=CatDog=].
* AreYouPonderingWhatImPondering:
-->'''Cat:''' Are you thinking what I’m thinking?
-->'''Dog:''' I don’t know…are you thinking about drinking out of the toilet bowl?
* AsideGlance: When [=CatDog=] at first refuses to sell themselves to Rancid, Santa says that there may be a glimmer of hope for Christmas yet. Then, as Rancine throws a major fit immediately after, he glances at the camera in disappointment and corrects himself that it’s a “very faint glimmer”.
* AstonishinglyAppropriateInterruption:
-->'''Winslow:''' Why, that two-headed traitor! I’m gonna…I’m gonna…
-->'''Cliff:''' ''[bursting into [=CatDog=]'s house with the rest of the Greasers]'' [[PerfectlyCromulentWord Murderlize]] ‘em!
-->'''Winslow:''' Yeah, that’s it!
* {{Birdcaged}}: Rancine locks [=CatDog=] in a giant birdcage when they try to leave her.
* BlahBlahBlah:
-->'''Winslow:''' Merry blah, blah, blah, blah, blah!
* ChandelierSwing: Cat uses his scarf to hook onto Rancid’s chandelier and swing himself and Dog to an open window to escape the house. Unfortunately, they miss it by ''that'' much and [[WatchOutForThatTree smack into the wall]] beside the window instead.
* ChasteToons: This is the first (and only) time we see Rancid’s niece Rancine.
* ChekhovsGun: The soap Dog was eating at the mall earlier in the episode is what he uses to give himself FakeRabies to trick Rancine.
* ChristmasEpisode: Cat finally gets the gift he’s always wanted for Christmas, but risks ruining the holiday for everyone else in the process.
* ConscienceMakesYouGoBack: After [=CatDog=] escape, Rancine is left swinging from the birdcage with no way to get down. Dog feels guilty and says they can’t leave her like that. Cat agrees and then pulls a BaitAndSwitch, looking like he’s climbing the ladder to get her down but pushes her inside the cage instead.
* CuckooFingerTwirl: Winslow does this when he calls [=CatDog=] deluded.
* EatTheCamera: After Cat decides to sell himself and Dog to Rancine, the scene cuts to a view inside her mouth as she’s crying over not being able to have [=CatDog=], complete with a wiggling uvula.
* FilePhotoGag: The picture Randolph Grant uses in his news broadcast announcing [=CatDog=] as the ones who ruined Christmas is clearly from when they were much younger, with Dog in a ball cap and Cat in glasses and a propeller hat.
* GroupHug: [=CatDog=], the Greasers, Rancid, Rancine, Eddie, and Winslow all hug as they wish each other Merry Christmas.
* HandRubbing: Rancine rubs her hands evilly as [=CatDog=] agrees to be bought by her uncle.
* HiddenDepths: Lube shows off his impressive singing voice during “The Best Part of Christmas”.
* ItsAllMyFault: Cat’s reaction when he finds out that his obsession with the materialism of the holiday caused Christmas to be canceled.
* MallSanta: One of Dog’s favorite Christmas traditions is visiting Santa at the mall. Cat is a lot less impressed with this activity.
* NobodyHereButUsStatues: [=CatDog=] hides from Rancid by posing as a bust of one of his ancestors.
* NotHyperbole: Rancine tells [=CatDog=] that she used the shin bones of the last guy who tried to get out of a deal with her to make a coffee table. The camera then pans over to a man whose legs are being used to hold up a tabletop while he lays on his stomach reading a book.
* RestoredMyFaithInHumanity: [=CatDog=] celebrating Christmas despite all their decorations and presents being taken away gives Santa hope and makes him bring back the holiday.
* SantaClaus: In an interesting twist, the Mall Santa ends up being the ''real'' Santa who is disgusted by [=CatDog=]'s decision to sell themselves to Rancine; so much so, that he decides to cancel Christmas altogether.
* SickCaptiveScam: Dog pretends to be sick as Cat calls Rancine over to check on him so they can escape the birdcage she put them in.
* SpoiledBrat: Rancid Rabbit’s niece Rancine, who makes her uncle buy [=CatDog=] because they’re the only thing she doesn’t have.
* TorchesAndPitchforks: The residents of Nearburg form an angry mob to hunt down [=CatDog=] for getting Christmas canceled. There’s even Wanted Posters tacked up all over the city.
* TrueMeaningOfChristmas: While Dog values his and Cat’s traditions and the friends they spend the holiday with, Cat only seems to care about presents. He eventually sees the error of his ways though.
-->'''Dog:''' See, it’s not the stuff that counts! Christmas is about spending time with the people you’re closest with, and that’s all of us!
* UnderTheMistletoe: Shriek holds up a piece of mistletoe as she gives Dog a ForcefulKiss.
* WeHaveTheKeys: After trying to swing through an open window and injuring themselves in the process, Dog points out that Rancid’s front door is open and [=CatDog=] could just walk right out of the house.
