Realistic: Buffy can't save everyone.

Added DiffLines:

** Buffy doesn't manage to save very many human slaves: some seem too scared or beat-down to join in her attempt, others may just be too far away. All are left with a gang of normally cruel and violent demons who may be presumed to be in ''very'' bad moods….

The demon labour-camp couldn't be as bad as some human-established/run such.

Added DiffLines:

* FridgeLogic: Though they are demons dressed somewhat like Nazi S.S. camp-guards and don't seem to have anything like barracks or feeding facilities for their human slaves, conditions in the demons' Smoke and Fire Factory must have been better than those in some labour camps run by evil humans. For example, in those of the Nazi concentration camps or sub-camps not dedicated to quick murder (e.g. Auschwitz-Monowitz or Dora, as opposed to Sobibor and Chelmno) few people lasted two years, much less the apparent decades (local time) at least a few people seem to have spent in the demons' pocket-dimension. This might be down to the demons' having a much smaller pool of potential slave-labourers, and in this wise being more practical than sadistic. (…or those few we see were like trustees/kapos receiving favourable treatment, though there is no diegetic sign of this and it would seem to go against the whole 'you are noöne' push).

Buffy dreams of Angel, who tells her he's never going away.

Buffy wakes up. She walks to the window, and the camera pans out to reveal a street that's definitely on [[UsefulNotes/LosAngeles the wrong side of the tracks]].

It would have been much more sensible to just abduct the youths without leaving any witnesses.

The result is that Lily rechristens herself as Anne (Buffy's middle name/alias in LA) in her honor and carries on her good works in LA, becoming a social worker dedicated to saving lost teens like herself, showing up a few times in the spinoff, ''Series/{{AngelTheSeries}}''.
