** Francine plans to get rid of Mrs. Pariso by planting a forged eviction notice to convince her she has to leave. Seems like a simple enough plan, right? Except, given she has the grammatical writing skills of a third grader, the notice has too many grammar errors, making it transparent it wasn't written by professional hands. And if Mrs. Pariso returning the letter to Francine with said-errors pointed out is any indication, it didn't work.
** Because they are kids, they don't really have good spelling skills.

* AnAesop:
** Elections can be dirty business and no candidate is perfect. It's up to the voter to make an informed decision about the candidates and whose proposals and ideals line up the most with them. Muffy showers people with gifts but slanders her opponent and rudely criticizes any naysayers. Arthur is kind and genuine, but also shy and awkward and doesn't have Muffy's cash to fall back on.
** It's probably not best to pick a candidate because they're telling you everything you want to hear. Binky wins the election in a landslide because he makes a bunch of proposals like no homework, something he has no power to actually enforce.
** It's also best to pick a candidate who is qualified for the position. Binky wins but doesn't display any actual leadership abilities, he just says what he would like to see happen in school. Arthur is probably the most qualified of the three to lead in the episode given he isn't just in it for the glory like Muffy is.
** Keep in mind when things aren't serious enough to get so invested in. Muffy spends a lot of money and effort in her campaign for nothing but a mock class election, and later is outraged when she loses to Binky.

* AnAesop:
** Be considerate of your neighbors and your volume levels so that you're not inconveniencing or annoying them, especially when living in a shared setting like an apartment complex.
** There is every chance that your neighbors are actually kind, considerate friends to make, so don't assume the worst if you haven't gotten to know them.

* Jerkass: Muffy's at her worst in this episode considering that she's very determined to win the school election and she even berates Francine for talking to Arthur after she considers him to be her rival at the election.

Added DiffLines:

* AllForNothing: Muffy sinks a lot of money and effort into the election but the episode ends with Mr. Ratburn reminding Binky it was just a mock election and that the winner doesn't actually gain anything. Arthur and Buster at least seem to learn the intended lesson about politics and government.

Added DiffLines:

* ElectionDayEpisode: The plot comes from a mock election that Mr. Ratburn holds to teach the class about government.
* DemocracyIsFlawed: The episode shows the pitfalls of when anybody can run for office. Muffy is an UpperClassTwit with a bratty, selfish lust for power who showers potential voters in gifts, Arthur is extremely meek and awkward, and Binky has no real leadership ability and just promises unrealistic but popular proposals. Ultimately Binky wins the election as a last minute darkhorse entry due to sweeping the class of their feet, despite Arthur putting in the work to have appeal as a good and normal candidate.

* SurprisinglyRealisticOutcome: Sometimes, a completely unqualified candidate wins an election simply because of a popularity contest or making the most outlandish proposals. Even then, Ratburn points out to Muffy that as a citizen, Binky is just as eligible to run as anybody else.
* TyrantTakesTheHelm: Part of the reason Arthur throws his hat in the race is because Muffy makes it clear she's running for class president just for the power. Given her malicious slander and poor attitude towards her competitors, and the ImagineSpot ColdOpen where she orders Arthur arrested for their class election, she probably ''would'' have been a real tyrant.
