* KarmaHoudini: Ironically for the series finale (''WesternAnimation/SonicChristmasBlast'' notwithstanding), it is one of the few episodes where Robotnik's scheme is simply stopped and he gets to walk away scot-free with all-new plans that he cooked up from the events in this episode.

The sixty-fifth and final episode of the first season of ''WesternAnimation/AdventuresOfSonicTheHedgehog'', and the penultimate episode of the series overall.

While in Mobius City Park, Sonic, Tails and Dr. Robotnik get trapped into a book of fairy tales caused by Scratch and Grounder's mistake. When they escape, Robotnik uses a stolen magic wand and teams up with the Fairy Tale Villains to take over Mobius.

----
!! This episode provides examples of:
* AbhorrentAdmirer: Snow Height becomes this to Robotnik after Sonic tricks her into thinking that he's Prince Charming.
* AccidentalKiss: Sonic disguises himself as Rapunzel to seduce him and tricks Robotnik into kissing Snow Height to break the spell he cast upon her that turned her into a toad.
* ArtShift: This episode features many realistic painted backgrounds as opposed to the often-absurdist backgrounds typical of the show. Such backgrounds would become the norm for the following ''Sonic'' show, ''WesternAnimation/SonicTheHedgehogSatAM''.
* BalefulPolymorph: When Robotnik steals the Fairy Godfather's magic wand, he uses it to turn Snow Height into a toad. Sonic disguises himself as Rapunzel to trick Robotnik into kissing Snow Height to turn her back to normal.
* {{Beatnik}}: The giant from ''Jack and the Beanstalk'' is one.
-->'''Giant:''' Like, Fee, Fi, Fo, Fog, I smell the blood of an uncool hedgehog!
* BreathWeapon: James the Dragon attacks his enemies with his fire breath.
* TheCameo: Among the children that Miss Saccharine reads her book of fairy tales to are [[Recap/AdventuresOfSonicTheHedgehogS01E04SlowwwwGoing Rocket the Sloth and his unnamed sister]], [[Recap/AdventuresOfSonicTheHedgehogS01E38SonicTheMatchmaker Tiny the Hippo]], and the elephant girl and the pink lab rat from "[[Recap/AdventuresOfSonicTheHedgehogS01E28MustaBeenABeautifulBaby Musta Been a Beautiful Baby]]".
* DelightfulDragon: James turns to Sonic's side after Sonic pulls a thorn out of his foot.
* DisguisedInDrag: Robotnik uses the Fairy Godfather's magic wand to turn Snow Height into a toad. To turn her back to normal, Sonic disguises himself as Rapunzel to trick Robotnik into kissing her.
* DraggedIntoDrag: When Scratch and Grounder transport Sonic, Tails, and Robotnik into the book of fairy tales, they end up in the story of ''Hansel and Nettle''. Upon noticing he's been hampered with the latter role, Tails points out "Hey, I just noticed; I'm a girl!". Doesn't help that [[ViewerGenderConfusion a handful of fans have probably mistook him for one in the past]].
* EdibleAmmunition: In the story of ''Hansel and Nettle'', Robotnik tosses balls of chili at Sonic and Tails, which Sonic notes did not happen in the original story.
-->'''Tails:''' Is there a part where the Witch throws giant balls of flaming hot chili at Hansel and Nettle?\\
'''Sonic:''' Nope.\\
'''Tails:''' Well, somebody ought to tell Robotnik that.
* {{Expy}}:
** Snow Height resembles a taller and uglier version of the Creator/{{Disney}} incarnation of [[WesternAnimation/SnowWhiteAndTheSevenDwarfs Snow White]].
** Cinderella's Fairy Godfather is a clear parody of Vito Corleone from ''Film/TheGodfather''.
* FracturedFairyTale: This episode features such fairy tales as ''Hansel and Nettle'', where the witch owns a house made of chili dogs, and "Snow Height and the Seven Squatty Guys", where instead of being the fairest in the land, the Evil Queen desires to be the tallest.
* GingerbreadHouse: In ''Hansel and Nettle'', the Witch's house is made out of chili dogs. Since this is the TrademarkFavoriteFood of Sonic and Tails, Robotnik takes on the role of the witch and uses this to lure Sonic and Tails into a trap.
* GreenAroundTheGills: Tails' face turns a pale green after he eats the poisoned chili dog that Robotnik feeds him.
* HappilyEverAfter: This episode's title is a play on the phrase, and said phrase is also the key to defeating Robotnik near the end of the episode. Sonic and Tails skywriting "HAPPILY EVER AFTER. THE END!" overpowers the Fairy Godfather's magic wand and foils Robotnik's plan to destroy Mobius with natural disasters. The episode itself ends with Miss Saccharine saying that everyone lived happily ever after after Sonic saved the day.
* HeartSymbol: These appear above Snow Height when she kisses Robotnik.
* HeelFaceTurn: James worked for Robotnik after they escaped from the book of fairy tales, but turned to Sonic's side after Sonic pulled a thorn out of his foot.
* HeightAngst: Snow Height is so tall that she barely fits in the Seven Squatty Guys' cottage, and bumps her head on a beam that Tails tries to warn her about when she tries to answer the door.
* ImpactSilhouette: After the Beatnik Giant falls from the beanstalk when Tails, Miss Saccharine, and the children cut it down, the Beatnik Giant lands on Robotnik and leaves a hole shaped like his body in the ground.
* MagicMirror: At the beginning of the story of ''Snow Height and the Seven Squatty Guys'', the Evil Queen asks her magic mirror, "Mirror, Mirror on the wall, who is the tallest of them all?". Robotnik appears in the mirror's reflection and says, "It ain't you, string bean!", then runs out of the mirror.
* MythologyGag: The plane that Sonic and Tails fly at the end of the episode looks similar to [[VideoGame/SonicTheHedgehog2 the Tornado]].
* NoodleIncident: After Sonic tricks Robotnik into kissing Snow Height as a toad to turn her back to normal, Robotnik complains to Scratch and Grounder "I kissed a toad!". Scratch tells him he did that once, and Grounder tells him that so did he, and he thinks the toad liked him.
* OhCrap: After Sonic pulls a thorn out of James' foot, Robotnik yells, "Burn him up, you big slobbering idiot!". James then glares angrily at Robotnik who then nervously says, "Uh, big, nice slobbering idiot." James retaliates by torching Robotnik.
* RapunzelHair: Sonic disguises himself as Rapunzel and tricks Robotnik into climbing up his hair for millions of gold. When Robotnik climbs to the top of the tower, Sonic tricks Robotnik into kissing Snow Height to turn her back to normal.
* ReadingIsCoolAesop: This episode's "Sonic Says" segment is about the wonders of going to the library and reading the books there.
* SequelHook: This episode ends with Sonic saying to the viewers, "Every story must end, even this one! But it's no fairy tale to say, "See you soon for more ''Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog''!". Ironically, the series was not renewed for a second season, making this the final episode, at least until the ''Sonic Christmas Blast'' special three years later.
* SeriesFauxnale: This episode is the last one from ''Adventures''' original 65-episode run. Although the series was not renewed for a second season, the ''Sonic Christmas Blast'' special was made three years later, and was a crossover of sorts with ''WesternAnimation/SonicTheHedgehogSatAM'', as it featured Princess Sally Acorn and the Swat-Bots.
* ShoutOut:
** Cinderella's appearance in the episode is very similar to the character's design from [[WesternAnimation/{{Cinderella}} the 1950 Disney film]], but her dress is [[PinkMeansFeminine pink]] instead of blue.
** The scene where Robotnik stands atop Mt. Mobius and uses the Fairy Godfather's magic wand to cause some natural disasters is a reference to the ''Night on Bald Mountain'' segment from ''WesternAnimation/{{Fantasia}}''.
* SleepyHead: After Cinderella escapes from the book of fairy tales and runs from Robotnik and the Fairy Tale Villains, she decides to take a nap. Sonic complains that she thinks she's Sleeping Beauty. She wakes up when all the Fairy Tale characters are returned to their book at the end of the episode.
* StickySituation: After Robotnik steals the Fairy Godfather's magic wand, he uses it to turn the ground into flypaper to trap Sonic, Tails, and Snow Height.
* TemptingApple: While in the story of ''Snow Height and the Seven Squatty Guys'', Robotnik disguises himself as a chili dog vendor and tricks Tails into eating a poisoned chili dog that makes him fall asleep for twenty-six weeks. Sonic convinces Snow Height to kiss Tails to break the spell under the promise of introducing her to Prince Charming.
* TemptingFate: After Sonic tricks the Beatnik Giant into climbing a beanstalk while Tails, Miss Saccharine, and the children cut the beanstalk down, Robotnik says "Where is that big doofus? How long can it take for him to conquer a hemisphere? When I'm through with him, he won't know what hit him!". Cue the Beatnik Giant falling on Robotnik.
* TerribleTrio: When Robotnik escapes from the book of Fairy Tales, he forms one with James and the Beatnik Giant.
* TwoBeingsOneBody: After Scratch and Grounder get Robotnik out of the book of fairy tales, Robotnik demands to know which of them melted his Portable Portal Teleporter. When the two robots argue over who did it, Robotnik says "I know how to make you get your act together!" and uses the Fairy Godfather's magic wand to fuse them into a single, two-headed robot.
* VillainTeamUp: After he escapes from the book of fairy tales, Robotnik teams up with James and the Beatnik Giant to conquer Mobius.
* VisualPun: At the beginning of the second act, Robotnik thinks about turning Sonic into a horsefly, and in the cloud above Sonic, Tails, and Snow Height is an image of a horse's head on a fly's body.
* WickedWitch: Robotnik takes on the form of one in the story of ''Hansel and Nettle''.
