The forty-seventh episode of ''WesternAnimation/AdventuresOfSonicTheHedgehog''.

After defeating Six-Gun Pete, Sonic is made into a sheriff of Tranquil Gulch and has to defend it from Dr. Robotnik.

----

!! This episode provides examples of:
* BaitAndSwitch: After Sonic traps Scratch and Grounder in jail, he sends Robotnik a message telling them to pay a bail of 10,000 Mobiums if he wants to see them again. Robotnik confronts Sonic, telling him to give him what he wants or he'll turn him into buzzard bait. Scratch and Grounder think Robotnik is referring to them, but Robotnik tells them that they can rot in jail for all he cares, as it's Tranquil Gulch he wants.
* BorrowedCatchphrase: When Robotnik waits impatiently for Sonic to duel him near the end of this episode, he says, "I'm waiting!", then says, "Now where have I heard that line before?"
* {{Bowdlerize}}: The Creator/ToonDisney broadcast of this episode cuts out a scene where Robotnik makes Scratch and Grounder shoot their heads off.
* TheCameo: The citizens of Tranquil Gulch include the Rabbit Gardener from "[[Recap/AdventuresOfSonicTheHedgehogS01E03LoveSickSonic Lovesick Sonic]]", the Pig Lady from "[[Recap/AdventuresOfSonicTheHedgehogS01E05HighStakesSonic High Stakes Sonic]]", and George the Stork and Tails' fake parents from "[[Recap/AdventuresOfSonicTheHedgehogS01E016TailsNewHome Tails' New Home]]".
* ChainedToARailway: After Scratch and Grounder break out of jail, they threaten to do this to Tails unless Sonic faces off against Robotnik in a gun duel.
* CowboyEpisode: Sonic becomes the sheriff of Tranquil Gulch and has to defend it from Robotnik's robots in this episode.
* DisneyVillainDeath: Scratch and Grounder trap Miss Possum in a stage coach that they send down a canyon. When Sonic comes to the rescue, they trap him as well, and escape with parachutes. Unfortunately, they accidentally left the parachutes in the stage coach, allowing them to plunge into the canyon below while Sonic and Miss Possum safely descend.
* EpicFail: When training for a gun duel, Sonic and Tails find out that Sonic is a poor shot. How bad? He can't shoot the broadside of a barn when he's standing five feet to it.
* ExpressiveMask: Scratch uses a mask in the shape of a mustached man with a moving mouth in order to deceive Ms. Possum.
* InterspeciesRomance: Sonic's GirlOfTheWeek in this episode is Miss Possum.
* LosingYourHead: Happens to Six-Gun Pete after Sonic tricks him into shooting his head off.
* LiteralMinded: When Six-Gun Pete returns to Robotnik's fortress after losing his head, Robotnik tells him to draw. Pete shoots at him, and Robotnik tells him that he meant to draw with a pencil, not a gun.
* NeverMyFault: After Scratch and Grounder lose their mechanical parts to Sonic in several rounds of strip Poker, Grounder blames Scratch for saying that they couldn't lose with their computer brains, even though it was Grounder who said those very words.
* PunnyName: Robotnik's robots are named Wired Earp, Batch Cassidy, Billy the Kit, Chassis James, and DOS Holiday.
* ReflectingLaser: When Robotnik challenges Sonic to a gun duel, he fires his Infrared Hedgehog-Homing Six-Gun Shooter at him. Sonic prepared for this, and reveals a mirror under his poncho, which the laser reflects off of and attacks Robotnik.
* ShoutOut:
** This episode's title is a reference to ''Film/TheMagnificentSeven''.
** The coyote who sends Robotnik Sonic's message bears a striking resemblance to [[WesternAnimation/WileECoyoteAndTheRoadRunner Wile E. Coyote]].
** Sonic's trick of concealing a mirror beneath his poncho is a reference to the Creator/ClintEastwood movie, ''Film/AFistfulOfDollars'', in which Eastwood's nameless protagonist hides a steel chest plate under his poncho to deflect bullets. Marty [=McFly=] also uses the same trick in ''Film/BackToTheFuturePartIII''.
** At the end of this episode, [[Franchise/TheLoneRanger a dog says, "Who was that fast hedgehog?", and Sonic says, "Hi-ho, Sonic, away!"]]
* StripPoker: Parodied; Scratch and Grounder "strip" and lose their mechanical parts to Sonic in several rounds of strip poker.
