''WesternAnimation/DanVs'' definitely earned itself its PG rating, but it's still surprising how blind the radar is to this show, especially being a show on Creator/TheHub (which, outside of airing this show, reruns of ''Literature/{{Goosebumps}}'', ''TheHauntingHour'' (both reruns and new episodes), reruns of ''WesternAnimation/BatmanTheAnimatedSeries'', and, as of 2013, ''WesternAnimation/{{Animaniacs}}'' reruns, ''is'' actually a channel meant to be for kids and families)

* In "The Barber", Dan inadvertently causes a pair of scissors to pierce a man through the chest.

** And then later, Elise and Chris watch a slasher fic, the plot of which or the particular scene they're on is defined by the latter as "a guy with a chainsaw in an [[WouldHurtAChild orphanage]]."

* In "Dance", it was implied that several males might have been doing a mating dance...

* In "The Family Thanksgiving" Chris [[ItMakesSenseInContext awakens tied up in bed]] and turns to Elise, saying "What did we do last night?"

* In general, Dan uses the word "crap".

* In "Dan", Chris, under the conviction that his best fried has created an alternate personality as an outlet for altruism, calls Elise to inform her that he has 'snapped', to which she responds "Wait, ''how'' has Dan snapped? Clock tower?".

* In "The Ninja", a girl passes Dan, who is [[ItMakesSenseInContext covered in lactose-free milk,]] and says, [[DrunkOnMilk "Drinking problem much?]]

* While this may just be a coincidence in "Telemarketer" Elise beats up Chris' old boss to take his I.D. card. Later on Chris says "Poor Mr. Zimmerman, he never hurt anyone." Cut to a picture of a man who looks very similar to Hitler.
** In the same episode Elise threatens to emasculate him. Dan asks if she means eviscerate. Elise replies [paraphrasing] "I know what I said."
* In "The Barber" while in a hair cutting competition, complete with audience, Dan flings a pair of scissors into a shaving cream canister. The can promptly explodes and sends said scissors flying. Those scissors, while in silhouette, stab a man in the neck killing him.
** Oh, and he crosses the guy off a list after his opponent breaks down crying.

* In "Anger Management" Dan finds out that his counselor, Amber, has the same deep-seated taste for revenge that he does. When he takes her out to Ninja Dave's, she starts talking about other people she'd like to get revenge on. Dan on the other hand just genuinely wanted to spend time with her, and it disappointed that she doesn't consider it a date. He asks her "Are we just...[[FriendsWithBenefits revenge buddies?]]"
* In "Canada" when asked what he knows about the titular country, Dan describes it as "England and France had a baby out of wedlock." AKA a bastard.
