** Filming in Monument Valley nowadays costs an arm and a leg, and after too much extra production time is wasted dealing with traces of modern civilization (tire tracks, garbage, planes in the background, photobombing paparazzi) that just keep popping up, the team accepts it's best to roll with it and rewrite the story as it goes to make it happen "today".

** The Creators tried going for a typical TheWildWest movie, and while they could get the old-timey outfits done from a tailor, getting the actual guns and old devices as props is almost ''impossible''. God help 'em, they really tried acquiring a few props that would fit in the 19th century, but then they just gave up and decided to rework the plot to match the modern day.

-> Y'know, [[AffectionateNickname Pat]], nothin' really changes 'round here. The concept of a bounty and its hunters still exist, the gangsters we keep catchin' are still just outlaws in the end, and we still have to use guns, especially our revolvers. Heck, even the horses that they used to ride back in the 19th century are now replaced by those of [[MyHorseIsAMotorbike steel]], but they fulfill the same purpose. It's like we never really move on from the old times, we're just accompanied by new gadgets and gizmos here and there.

** The story takes place during the TwilightOfTheOldWest and thus devices like cars, phones and semi-automatic weapons ([[NoPoliceOption and quick police response]]) are still not widely available.
** The story takes place in a location that is still very far off from human civilization even in the Twenty-First Century (ex. deep within the Australian Outback) so the good old ways still work well (and they will even more [[ClosedCircle once the newfangled methods to call for help are taken out by the plot]]).
