* Los Iluminados is a religious cult based on a remote region in Spain, who came into notoriety after they managed to capture the then-daughter of the President of the United States, Ashley Graham and planned to return her as a ManchurianAgent in order to take control of his father and TakeOverTheWorld. While the cult existed centuries ago, it was disbanded by the Salazar family before but the arrival of the mysterious priest Osmund Saddler changed everything, who convinced both the latest Salazar in line, Ramon, and the village chief Bitores Mendez to unearth the ancient parasites known as "Las Plagas" which would spell doom for the free will of the villagers and kickstart Saddler's attempt at world domination.
* Saddler's plan for the most part worked wonders, since he received the unexpected help from Jack Krauser, an american who went rogue from the military and captured Ashley for him, who in reality was after a sample of Las Plagas on behalf of Wesker. This in turn brought the attention of the American Goverment who tasked one of it's new recruits at the time Leon S. Kennedy to rescue Ashley, uncovering the whole plot about Los Iluminados and Las Plagas and ending the threat of them once and for all. The entire group resurfaced in the Pantheon after a deity accidentally unearthed a sample of Las Plagas which brought the influence of the group into the Pantheon, though some believe the Pantheon/GrandUnitedAllianceOfEvil is behind all of this.
* Los Iluminados is composed of the heads of both the Village and the Castle, Bitores Mendez and Ramon Salazar respectively, the villagers and cultist that follow each, a group of infected mercenaries, several monstrosities created by Las Plagas and Saddler himself, and naturally they all have one thing in common: they want revenge against Leon Kennedy. Obviously the sudden arrival of the cult just gave Leon a really bad reminder of his time in Spain and while he himself has no problem taking them down, he would rather not deal with a Plaga infection again.
* Saddler and his ilk quickly learned that shortly after their defeat, Albert Wesker managed to attain a sample of Las Plagas and with that and the help of his buddies at Tricell managed to create advanced version of Las Plagas, even capable of resisting sunlight. Naturally the cult and Wesker alongside his sister Alex do not get along at all, often clashing because Wesker still has access to those same samples he managed to acquire but Saddler has saw some interesting potential in those parasites and has tried numerous times to steal them to do some research on them.
** They have also taken note of the several members of Umbrella scattered through the Pantheon, a few of their B.O.W.s interested the cult immensely given their potential with a Parasite host, not to mention that it is believe that the Nemesis-alpha parasite utilized with the Nemesis Tyrant is believed to be Umbrella's attempt at creating their own type of Las Plagas and seeing how dangerous the Nemesis is, they wanted to capture the creature for testing purposes. Similar attempts have been made with Lisa Trevor but several of the Ganados sent to capture Lisa have been swiftly killed by her with no serious harm done to her.
* Los Iluminados didn't actually perish when Saddler died contrary to what Leon and the rest of the world believed, a few surviving members still remained and they ultimately went to work under Glenn Arias and develop the powerful A-Virus, though naturally learning of Saddler's return in the Pantheon have made them reconsider their loyalties. Luckily for them Arias was willing to form a truce with Saddler, both men had many common enemies and a disdain for the american goverment, ironic considering Saddler wouldn't be willing to trust an american like Arias but seeing potential in his virus and how he took good care of his subjects, he decided his contributions would be valuable.
* Los Iluminados has a very clear [[FantasticRacism disdain towards americans]], while most outsiders are usually not to their liking, Americans are the ones they despise the most probably because they are one of most powerful nations in the world, hence the capture of Ashley Graham. Several american and patriotic deities felt insulted after Saddler criticized the common cliche of AmericaSavesTheDay, which ironically he too felt prey too and the fact that pantheonic titles fall under the so called "cliches" (actually tropes) does not amuse him at all, but he is willing to go along with this charade as long as it benefits him. Los Iluminados has clashed with several american groups because of their outspoken anti-american nature, which usually makes them the target of such groups like Team America or Broforce.
* In their quests for world domination, Los Iluminados has pledged their loyalty to the Pantheon/GrandUnitedAllianceOfEvil since they are content with backing them as long as they get to have control of Las Plagas. Saddler isn't super loyal to Melkor but better be working for him than be under the heel of a filthy american. That said, he doesn't approve of any fellow american GUAE member at all.
* The cult has managed to find several other like-minded individuals during their attempts at divulging their teachings. One of them was the Lunatic Cultist, a worshipper of the Old Ones who holds a power akin to Saddler and believing Las Plagas are the spawn of one of his gods, he has been in talks with Saddler in order to form a partnership. Another one was Leopold Goenitz, who approached the group with an offer to serve or at least work alongside him and his master Orochi and even promised to vanquish their enemies if they helped them reawaken his master. Salazar also managed to get himself chummy with the Crimson Court, a fellow aristocratic group and one of the few that don't mind his rather depraved activities, praising his castle for being a rather interesting place for them.
** One problem that arose with the alliance with the Crimson Court was that the Ancestor took notice of Los Iluminados and saw that they are up to no good. Saddler and Salazar even remind him of the people he used to be around in the past and Saddler has even tried to "persuade" him to his side with his trademark snark but the Ancestor was certainly not amused by his proposals.
* Believed to be from alien origin, the Fifth Church saw fit to investigate Las Plagas and learn more about their nature and why they were found in the depths of the ground in Spain to begin with. Saddler found their teachings perplexing and while their goals aren't entirely aligned with that of his group, nevertheless he has allowed some members under the pretext of research and possibly a few potential improvement for Las Plagas, both cults have remained on friendly terms but some believe that Saddler will eventually terminate the partnership once their research is no longer useful.
* Mendez is not only a priest but also the chief of his village and very respected man, enough to be granted a Dominant Plaga to command his fellow villagers. Some people have confused him for Rasputin given their similar looks, not to mention that his toughness has contributed to the already legendary reputation of Rasputin. The Mad Monk finds the comparison amusing but he would never adhere to the teaching of Los Iluminados and would rather not be associated with them or Mendez in the slightest, but both men do respect each other in their own particular ways.
* The knowledge of the Horadrim certainly caught the attention of Saddler and the remaining member of said group, Deckard Cain, became a prime target for Los Iluminados but they never expect the frail old man to be so slippery and hard to catch. Deckard was reminded of the Coven that ended his life back in Sanctuary when he had a close encounter with a few Ganados and even met Saddler personally after he tried to sweet-talk him into surrendering, [[Creator/MichaelJGough the similar voices]] only made their emnity much stronger because Saddler was a very vile man in his eyes but he has managed to elude capture and even get help from some of the GUAG forces to push the cult after him away.
* The Tactical Dolls have often been seen hunting and eliminating a few of the members of Los Iluminados not only because they were contracted to fight against them, but also doing them by their own volition given that the cult reminds them of one of their enemy factions, the Paradeus cult. Saddler has found their resistance kind of amusing to say the least but he won't admit they have been a huge thorn in his side for a while but he only has openly voiced his distaste for the American members of said group, only angering their fellow T-Dolls in their process.
* While Xenomorphs aren't quite like Las Plagas and potentially more dangerous, the cult has tried to find a way to gain control of a few of them in order to experiment with a potential Xenomorph/Plaga creature. Some believe the existance of Verdugo, the two bodyguards of Salazar and how similar they behave to Xenomorphs might make some believes that at the least, Los Iluminados are capable of creating similarly dangerous creatures.
* Las Plagas are weak to sunlight, so it's only fair that the cult would try their best to limit any type of sunlight in the Pantheon in order to operate unopposed. Deities related to light and sun have been made several attempts to terminate all Las Plagas in order to prevent a potential outbreak but the numbers Los Iluminados have never seem to slow down or decrease. That said, they are aware that there are modified plagas that can function under sunlight, but are still weak towards strong light sources like flashbangs.

* Ardyn's trip into the Pantheon was quite exciting in seeing the many new faces and places he could visit with his new "life" in a sense. Despite proclaiming himself a [[BlatantLies man of no consequence]], his presence brought about increasing darkness to many houses making deities wonder what exactly is Ardyn Izunia. He merely resides in his house, but occasionally visits other gods who have a similar backstory to himself with some thinking that this man was merely biding his time in order to enact some kind of plan.
** [[spoiler: Truly all he wants is another chance to challenge the "Chosen King" to combat in order to regain his lost honor and right to the throne now belonging to Noctis. To this end, he will stir up conflict in order to see "Noct" once again hoping to provide more nightmares for the new King of Lucis. It would turn out that his own brother ended up becoming king instead of him, which combined with being shunned away by his own people drove him deep into the darkness. That and the fact he resembled his brother and Founder King Somnus burns him up inside.]]
** Upon seeing Noctis' personal butler and friend Ignis, his several snarky remarks came out about his cooking skills being the very reason he was named a God. Warning Ardyn of the AlternateTimeline where it was Ignis who took the Ring of Lucii and not the chosen heir instead he left Ignis alone however that didn't mean he wouldn't insult his cooking skills in the future. [[spoiler: Or try and torture him with a vision of him being consumed by that power of the ring]].
* Aerith and Cloud are repulsed about this man just from seeing him the first time around with Cloud sensing evil lurking underneath his smile while Aerith feared this man was far more dangerous than he seemed. [[spoiler: Ardyn wondered how Cloud would react if he took away his beloved flower girl just as he ruined another relationship with Luna and Notis]].
* Cersei knew that trusting people like Ardyn was asking for trouble, and she could have sworn that [[Creator/LenaHeadey she had met]] this chancellor once in [[Anime/KingsglaiveFinalFantasyXV another life]] along with Eddard Stark.

Ardyn decided to agree with this as even though Kefka [[CardCarryingVillain may be openly mad]], [[HypocrisyNod he himself isn't the kind of person to judge him]], and is impressed that his plans [[AGodAmI actually went as far as for him to achieve godhood]]. Kuja also respected the scheming nature that Ardyn used around so many people.
* Being a former Nobody, the fiery red-head could tell someone like Ardyn had quite a foul sense of darkness inside of him [[spoiler: along with several thousand daemons]]. He also didn't like the fact they [[Creator/KeijiFujiwara both sounded similar]] to each other.
* Any cordial nature Ardyn holds drops the second deities like Cosmos are mentioned to him because of [[spoiler: the fact they all damned him into suffering eternal torment]]. He would love nothing more than to see [[RageAgainstTheHeavens gods like her weep in despair over the Pantheon falling into pure chaos]].
** It was later discovered in an AlternateTimeline, Ardyn teamed up with Noctis and company to defy their destiny and actually succeeded in getting his revenge against the Gods, more specifically Bahamut, and was able to peacefully pass on. Ardyn dismisses the idea of such a timeline even existing, however.
* Despite being in a [[NighInvulnerability similar state of immortality]] as the former [[spoiler: Lucian healer]] Zeref didn't exactly approve of the methods he chose to get his revenge. As for the ex-SOLDIER child of Jenova, the issue he had with Ardyn came from his antics with his personal nemesis finding that only ''he'' could have the right to haunt Cloud Strife.
* Both Clark Kent and the Avatar were repulsed by the history of Niflheim's adviser finding Ardyn to be lower than any deity in the Pantheon, but Ardyn simply wanted to make new [[BadSamaritan "friends"]] rather than more enemies.
