* There are those who have a BrokenPedestal. And then there is Super Hero Aurum, whose pedestal started cracking when he started to get tired of being the hero and just wanted to die in the blaze of glory, resulting him going after Mao's father, which broke Mao's pedestal for him. Then he utterly broke it by trying to turn Mao into the strongest and most heartless Overlord for ''200 years'' as the butler Geoffrey so that he can either die against him, or defeat him and grow stronger. And due to Mao intentionally locking away his memories, not only did he more or less re-break the pedestal for Mao, but broke the pedestal for Almaz. Needless to say, even ''[[EvenEvilHasStandards the demons were against him]]'' for this (''[[NobleDemon Disgaea]]'' [[CardCarryingVillain demons]], but that's beside the point).
* He was considered to be thrown into the Fallen, but judgement was postponed for a long time, due to Mao keeping him as his own personal guinea pig. However, he lost control of him after he used him as a power source for his Getter Mao, which fell into the hands of [[Pantheon/{{Conduct}} Valvatorez]]. He eventually got free (possibly due to [[Pantheon/ObedienceMindsets Fenrich]] scrapping the machine), but was captured and brought to justice, where he was thrown into the Fallen.
** However, after some revaluation, gods considered that Aurum did not deserve to be in the Fallen as he pulled off BrokenPedestal rather greatly, and was moved out.
* Even today, Mao still tries to turn Aurum back to a guinea pig. Unfortunately for him, Aurum is making sure that he isn't going to be experimented (or [[HeelFaceBrainwashing brainwashed]]) again.
* When needed, Aurum turns back to his Geoffrey disguise to act as a butler. Due to how [[CrazyPrepared prepared he is]], especially with portals, he does a really good job at it.
* [[Pantheon/SpecializedNarratives Teddie]] really doesn't like him due to them [[Creator/DaveWittenberg sounding the same]] and due to how he thinks that friendship is meaningless. Though Aurum himself is annoyed by [[Pantheon/CausesOfMadness Kefka]] for sounding like someone trying to mock him and swears to kill that clown like many Overlords he has slain before.
* [[Anime/TengenToppaGurrenLagann Lordgenome]], being a FallenHero himself, does sympathize with Aurum a little bit, and has tried to teach him how he could repair his pedestal. Aurum does appreciate it as he does feel a little bit bad for everything he has done.
* Due to his twisted sense of what it means to be a hero, he is not part of GUAG, but refuses to join GUAE or GUAC. Even GUAL is out of question, not wanting to be dragged by them endlessly.
* He seems to share an understanding with Saitama, as both of them grew into the point where neither of them were satisfied with victory.
* Among the handful of allies that the Plutonian has is Aurum, another FallenHero that's had a BrokenPedestal for some time. No one can say for certain if it's true or not (and many are hoping it's not), but the Plutonian is trying to get Aurum to embrace his own powers and cause chaos.

* Not much is known about the past of Dutch van der Linde, but what is known was that he was a destitute boy who managed to build and steel himself to become a reputable and feared outlaw in the harsh fields of the American West. We would create a gang with himself and Hosea Matthews as co-leaders, recruiting and training young orphans and vagabonds into joining for a noble cause by helping the poor via stealing from the rich, gathering enough resources and equipment to help and nurture each other and one day gather enough funds and collectables to one day settle down peacefully in a far off land with no one to impede them. Unfortunately, Dutch's optimism and desire for his ambitions caused him to severely underestimate many of his attempted raids and robberies, eventually making new enemies with other outlaws and becoming a target for the Pinkerton Agency. Although Dutch continued with his life of crime, he quickly began to descend into paranoia and madness after numerous failures and setbacks, among them being Hosea's death as well as many other trusted gang members, he began eschewing his beliefs and virtues in favour of becoming a crazed madman and endangering his gang, culminating in its dissolution once Arthur Morgan, his most trusted confident and surrogate son, came to question him about his failures and letting a potential mole dictate his actions. Years later and despite helping to kill the said mole, Dutch would try to restart his reputation and influence, but would ultimately fail and come to a realization that everything he did was hopeless and nothing would go in his favour due to the life he chose. When confronted by John Marston, a former member of his gang, one last time, Dutch confided about his despair and misery before choosing to commit suicide by leaping off a cliff.
* Dutch's ascension to the Pantheon was a very sombre and bleak experience for him. When he saw himself in an unfamiliar land for the first time, his first response was to learn about his new surroundings and quickly determined that he was given a second chance in life. But where things went downhill from there was that life in the Pantheon was very much the same as it was in the ruthless American West, a fact that left Dutch sad and lonely and he began to contemplate that his suicide was even worth it at all. There was one speck of hope that sprung when Dutch realized that Arthur and John were also in the Pantheon and found out that both men were doing what they could to lead a life separate from their outlaw days, something he acknowledged solemnly as he realized that he would have liked some company. At the very least, the Pantheon seemed like a more open and tolerable world compared to his home world, which Dutch felt quickly, but even then, he was unsure of what was to be expected from the divine realms. For now, he's cautiously optimistic but has no idea whether he could build a new gang of outlaws in this case.
* Dutch van der Linde is a man of many capabilities; skilled marksman, a good fighter, able to think on the fly and conduct risks to success, intuitive and forward-thinking, and flexible in teamwork, he proves himself to be one of the most capable and feared criminals of his time by using his skills to accomplish many goals and feats. Dutch's greatest ability, however, was his cunning mind, able to sway and convince people into believing his convictions and beliefs almost seamlessly and persuade them into his services, the ultimate way to ensure loyalty and servitude. The fact that he exuded a well-meaning and relatable desire also helped in garner a well-respected creed among his followers. Despite Dutch falling from grace hard and losing his ability to charm others to his side later on in his mortal life, he has since been taking his time to regain them and trying to plot out his desires in the Pantheon. Perhaps he could end up more successful if he could temper his anger and temper and focus on his ability to cooperate and communicate well with others. And on a good day, Dutch is a fairly well-spoken and polite man willing to offer praise, and appreciation towards others, provided they earn his goodwill. He's currently making an effort to be nicer, but how much of it is genuine or falsified is an unpredictable factor, just as much as his HairTriggerTemper.
* While Dutch is one of the more notorious and successful outlaws in his realm and the Pantheon, this didn't translate well into popularity and appeal. Instead, most outlaws and gunslingers rather more inclined to see him as a competition or rival to their notoriety and goals. That's not to say that some of them are willing to work with Dutch so long as they can benefit from one another mutually, but his own grand visions as well as his paranoiac desire for control mean he's a very hard man to get along or work with. Among the outlaws and gunslingers he came to respect were Erron Black, Billy the Kid, and Rattlesnake Jake, though these were mainly out of aesthetical and pragmatic reasons as they were skilled and famed gunslingers and Dutch realized that while working with them is possible, they expect respect and some monetary gain in return, a difficult prospect for Dutch as he is trying to find a way to build back his riches. Yosemite Sam amuses Dutch with his deranged yet comical desire to get back at [[Pantheon/LuckAndFortune Bugs Bunny]], though Sam himself doesn't take lightly on Dutch's supposed lack of respect towards him and dares him to a gunfight to settle who's the better shooter.
* The Pantheon's take on the Wild West was intriguing, to say the least, and Dutch was surprised to see the scope and wonder it showcased in comparison to the one he roamed in his mortal life. For one, he was not expecting to see something like a dinosaur roaming the desert or some kind of blue "human-thing with one eye holding a revolver" either. Even Wild West society in the Pantheon felt a bit different here with the populace being all too familiar with technology centuries ahead of their comprehension, something that Dutch personally had an opposing view towards as he didn't see advancing technology as a good thing. People were still fervently religious about the Judeau-Christian God, but there were also revered mentions of someone called [[Pantheon/{{Heroism}} Cosmos]] and a fearful quotation of a devil-like figure named [[Pantheon/{{Villainy}} Melkor]]. Guns came in many shapes from the antiquated Cattleman Revolver to snipers that emitted a red straight line and "shiny purple shotgun with flashy red stickers", not to mention the abundance of food products that were not normally available in the American West. Dutch was mystified by it all and admitted that he was just as impressed as he was uncertain about how he was going to settle in.
** Not surprisingly, Dutch became enemies with several sheriffs in the Pantheon due to his infamy and criminal occupation, something that he saw coming and had to prepare for if it meant he had to fight for his place in the Pantheon. Most of these lawmen understandably saw him as a dangerous man who was waging a war against society and daring to impose anarchy and chaos onto them. As far as Dutch is concerned, ''they'' are the lost ones and ''he'' is the one fighting for a noble cause, [[NotSoWellIntentionedExtremist despite his claims having been eroded and instead replaced with simple banditry and thuggery]], incidentally proving the lawmen's point. Dutch personally has a level of amusement for Rango, partly because he's a chameleon and because his newfound bravery and desire to be exactly what he claims to be was something Dutch found endearing, yet misplaced while Rango sees the outlaw as a bad man. And despite his own vices, even Dutch has some standards, sympathizing with the plight that Hannie Caulder went through, which reminded Dutch of Sadie Adler and detesting slavers such as Calvin Candie, Stephen, and the Ku Klux Gang as they represented ideals Dutch went against during his better days and their brutality and incompetence reminding him of the savage O'Driscoll gang.
** If there's a House that Dutch keeps a great distance from for his self-preservation, it's the one of Pantheon/LawAndJustice. Being a gunslinging outlaw with grand ambitions was already enough to make him a Most Wanted figure, but the police and law enforcement in the Pantheon were vastly different from the ones from the mortal world he came from. Dutch expected them to be rather stronger due to the passage of time, but he was still caught with surprise at how well-adapted they've become in identifying and combating criminals like him as well as other factors like public services and forensic analysis, which Dutch was not anticipating. Needless, to say, he's bummed that he might need to rely on technology to an extent if it means keeping himself protected and secured. As for cops themselves, the ones Dutch hates the most are, oddly enough, Frank Tenpenny and Eddie Pulaski; while Dutch is aware of [[DirtyCop criminal cops]], Frank and Eddie are so odious and blatant about it that they make Andrew Milton and Edgar Ross look like saints in comparison and Frank, to a degree reminds Dutch about the worst parts of himself, which makes him grumble in frustration. To Tenpenny and Pulaski, Dutch is just some "fuck-off outlaw" while said outlaw sees them as just as much a criminal as he is and at least with other, law-abiding cops, Dutch's enmity towards them is strictly professional while Frank and Eddie piss him off enough that Dutch has no problems killing them even if they meet by chance.
* Arthur Morgan and Micah Bell III being in the Pantheon left Dutch with a wide mix of feelings. On one hand, he was happy to hear about Dutch again while showing clear contempt and dismissal towards Micah, but he also had a feeling of despondency and shame to be reminded of them, especially given that he was scolded by Arthur in one of the latter's last moments, which still ring fresh in Dutch's mind. Given their outcome and the two realizing the suffering and folly that comes with being an outlaw, both Dutch and Arthur are too hesitant to encounter each other, especially when Arthur is making an effort to make something of himself without going back to his old ways, the opposite of what Dutch is planning on as he feels that he can't be anything else but an outlaw. He would never admit it, but Dutch does feel ashamed for having failed Arthur but also feels that the chance for forgiveness has expired, furthering Dutch's isolation towards his surrogate son, as much as he does want to reconnect with Arthur, who similarly pities Dutch for doing enough to give his own life a purpose besides being a criminal as well as thinking Dutch is too dangerous and unruly to reconnect with, even if Arthur also admits. With Micah, Dutch would much rather riddle his body with bullets again and cannot stand his former compatriots' sight these days. On Micah's side, he's just amused by the chance of seeing Dutch again and likes to act jolly and respectful towards his former boss. He still intends to kill Dutch to satisfy a petty grudge, but Micah will rub on Dutch for having good times together, which only further exacerbates Dutch's desire to kill Micah.
** The idea of Dutch reuniting with John in the Pantheon was just as befuddling for the former as it was to the latter, not helping was the fact that Dutch was vindicated by how the law and society were going to catch up to them when John was killed by Ross and his agency after John had completed Ross's task of hunting down former members. Sure both of them were now in a more optimistic world, but their scars, mental and physical, not only remain intact but still influence their decisions and motives. The most Dutch could do is solemnly accept that maybe he and John may never reclaim their past relationship as a surrogate family, which was evident as John personally wanted nothing to do with Dutch, even if he admits that he does miss the man Dutch used to be. John's son, Jack, was in a more heartbreaking situation as he grew up to become a gunslinging outlaw despite protests from Arthur and John to not go down that path, something that Dutch, in a rare moment, agreed with them on. He's sad to see how a surrogate grandson went down that line and is even more afraid of encountering him than either Arthur or John. Jack could barely recall moments of Dutch's kindness back in their younger days, but even if he had a small measure of sentimentality, Jack wasn't hesitant to fight and kill Dutch if he ever tried to attack him or his family.
* Dutch is a unique criminal in that he sees himself as a freedom fighter, a "hero" in his own tale -- who is trying to do the best for the people he loves. While his convictions and beliefs are genuine, most beg to differ on the falsified altruism Dutch has crafted for himself, especially when, years later, he was no better than a common bandit or thug. Dutch's self-projected hero complex was something he shared in common with Walter White despite their differing criminal profession and the two found some irony that they claimed that much of their actions were for the sake and betterment of their loved ones when, in reality, both were more concerned about their own pride and self-worth and eventually ruined their reputation and relationships with them. Yet despite their striking similarity, both were critical of one another for essentially sharing the same flaws as one another, neither aware that they had the same issues either because their pride refuses to acknowledge such. Plus while both were intelligent men, Heisenberg thinks Dutch is wasting his time in banditry while Dutch himself is baffled at how Heisenberg would rather produce meth than do anything else productive, especially given Walt's esteemed academic record. Finally, both pity each others' misfortune, but would never say it outright because the first time they did so, they got into a fight, with Dutch winning and only relenting from killing Walt because he wasn't going to enjoy the idea of killing a cancer patient, which Heisenberg took as an offence.
** Arthur and John would recall how back in the old days, Dutch's actions weren't just for the sake of their gang, but they would also give out portions of their stolen loot and money to the poor and needy and this was a factor in his popularity and affection from his gang members as many came from destitute backgrounds before Dutch helped them out. The old Dutch might have been an Old West take on Robin Hood, but the one in the Pantheon is but a fallen, disgraced shadow who has no chance of going back to that past version. Robin Hood himself was a bit intrigued by Dutch's history but was conflicted about whether these acts of altruism were genuine or not and Carmen Sandiego was on a similar boat given her career as a master thief. They determined that Dutch's own past might have influenced him into becoming sympathetic to the poor and desolate and they pity the outlaw for falling into despair and madness after one too many failures. Regardless of this, they also concluded that [[FreudianExcuseIsNoExcuse his past and his depressing circumstances don't justify him continuing to be a feared outlaw]] and that trying to meet him, let alone relate on a personal level, would be pointless, feeling that getting involved with Dutch would just spell more trouble for them due to his destructive habits and paranoia.
** While it was inevitable that outlaws would not be the only type of prominent gangsters in the divine realms, Dutch was a bit surprised and intimidated by the variety and scope provided by the many criminal enterprises and organizations in the Pantheon. Groups like Gangbangers, Yakuza, Triads, and Cartels looked quite distinctive and unique, though Dutch did note that they all relied on control, hierarchy, and authority to some degree and while he does fall into that category as well, Dutch is insistent that his gang focused on being free and wholly autonomous from the confines of authority. Given his experience with Angelo Brontë, Dutch has a degree of uncertainty towards Mafia organizations, which was justified as many of them, such as the [=DiMeo=] under Tony Soprano were very prone to petty and self-destructive actions, though was misplaced about Tommy Angelo as while his decision to rat out his gang does bring to mind Micah's deceptiveness, Tommy's motivation were more sympathetic though he wouldn't want anything to do with Dutch either. And while the Corleones had an emphasis on family honour, Dutch didn't buy it, seeing Vito and Michael as sanctimonious for trying to display themselves as honourable men in a field like crime where such notions are easily compromised. Even then, Dutch is willing to make negotiations so long as he can acquire resources and aid for his own profession, especially as many of the gangs and organizations are genuinely respectful of Dutch so long as he doesn't let his pride and hubris overtake his common sense.
* As a staunch anarchist, Dutch is not one to conform to city or industrialized life, seeing them as the antithesis to his view of prosperity and freedom. While an idealist, this had the unfortunate effect of turning Dutch into a {{control freak}} desperate to grasp onto power and assert dominance for the sake of his beliefs, which grew worse with his loosening sanity and eventually costing him the respect and loyalty of his subordinates. In the eyes of anarchists in the Pantheon, V sees him as a failure to anarchistic beliefs, believing that Dutch was ultimately a victim and unfit to represent freedom, Anarky is similarly cautious and puts his distance from Dutch after seeing how bad his delusions and flawed his ideas were, Bill Williamson[[note]]not the one from the Wild West[[/note]] respected his beliefs but expressed disappointment in not taking them further to destructive levels to make a difference, and Shogo Makishima simply saw him as a potential experiment to play around and is willing to have Dutch be a ploy on one of his future schemes as well as test the limits of his beliefs. Dutch is on bad terms with all of them for varying reasons, the first two because of their conflicting views on idealistic anarchy and the latter two because Dutch tries to persuade himself to be not as destructive and murderous as they could be despite his infamous rapport and his fall from sanity.
* As a disgraced man, Dutch has a rather unfortunate reputation overall; some outlaws respect his leadership and charisma but are wary of his flawed planning and occasional lapse to lunacy if slighted badly. Being part of the House of Pantheon/LegacyAndInfluence has a very awkward air for Dutch as he is recognized, but not for the best reasons and he tends to have an expression of shame and resignation about what he's representing in the divine realms. He knows he's a disgraced man and his past is always going to define him as well as being constantly reminded of it by many in the Pantheon. He honestly would rather kill himself if it means moving on, but the nature of the divine realms means Dutch believes he is cursed to be reminded all over, so the only option left for him is to live out like an outlaw again because that's all he's ever been in his mortal life. As a disgraced man, Dutch has problems establishing relations in the Pantheon and he's painfully aware of it, hating the fact that even after death, he's going to be haunted and that he might just get back to being a criminal, even if the Pantheon would offer a better shot for his dreams and ambitions.
* NewTechnologyIsEvil as far as Dutch is concerned. To him, the advancement of such is an anathema to prospects of freedom, prosperity, and liberty and learning about a couple of deities, especially ones like [[Pantheon/TyrannicalFigures Big Brother and the SIBYL System]] seem to vindicate his opposition as they were adamant on using technology to confined others into their servitude and force them under their services with severe threats in case anyone goes out of line. Furthermore, the advanced weaponry that was developed and used during the [[UsefulNotes/WorldWarI Great War]] and [[UsefulNotes/WorldWarII its successor]] actually terrified Dutch due to the sheer destructiveness and power technology had become during that time and by extension, he fears facing the United States Army due to their advancements in weaponry, resources, and travel, with the Entente Forces being a key example due to their battle experience and their tech. In a logical conclusion, Dutch has nothing but distaste for the House of Pantheon/MachineryAndTechnology and dreads the possibility of a possible robot/machine takeover from there, feeling that those may contribute to a downfall in civilization, liberty, and prosperity. To Dutch's credit, his fears are somewhat vindicated by the actions of A.I. like [[Pantheon/{{Slaughter}} AM]] and [[Pantheon/RuinAndDestruction Skynet]], though he makes an effort to not think about it too much, hoping that his Pantheon experiences and the turf he ventures in aren't suddenly invaded by robots and other advanced technology, hopefully.
* Dutch is an idealistic visionary and has always held an ambitious streak in securing enough money to reach a personal paradise where he could live out his days in peace, with Tahiti being his most preferred destination. On one hand, his nature as a visionary did benefit him greatly, making him a {{determinator}} who saw big success in his crime schemes and established a collective of loyal subordinates who saw Dutch as a father figure, lending his credentials as a capable and inspiring leader. However, being an idealistic visionary also made him prone to arrogance and short-sightedness, which would get worse as he started to experience multiple failures in his schemes, further exacerbated by Micah's deceit and lies in convincing Dutch to doubt and eventually turn against his surrogate sons. Despite his despair, Dutch has managed to slowly rebuild his past reputation in the Pantheon, but comparisons to his visionary nature against fellow anarchists tend to be polarizing as Dutch seems to be quite small-minded in comparison; Anarky uses his hacking talents to give money to the poor as well as kickstart a group of followers to fight against democracy, Shogo wants to enforce people to give into their primal desires, and V, for all his violent acts, wants to inspire the oppressed to riot and fight back against their oppressors in a dystopian London. This also played a part in why Dutch, despite his beliefs, hardly makes allies with anarchists, for he is a man of his time and despite his grand ambition, he can't truly be compatible with contemporary. Even so, he was still quite radical for his time, but Dutch does feel despondent over his seeming inability to properly adapt to the modern world.
* Despite his fearlessness and his reputation, Dutch has a very insecure side and while a good deal of his competency and talents are restored in the Pantheon, his paranoia and tendencies of distrust remain, albeit he's making some effort in restraining those to make sure he doesn't screw up as badly next time. Where he dwells in the divine realms is a giant, open field of nature with some towns and a large city somewhere on the horizon, meaning he's at least in his element, but Dutch does sometimes express concern about the possibility of more contemporary cops and advanced technology being stumbled across. He's already had to deal with cars and even the idea of computers and mobile phones and their capabilities of ensuring or exposing autonomy further adds to Dutch's paranoia, and that's not getting into how developed organizations like the CIA and the FBI have become over the years and their increasing rate of capturing and exposing criminals like Dutch, whom they see as a terrorist. Even with his paranoia and the fragility of his mental state, Dutch dislikes being compared to figures like [[Pantheon/{{Reclusiveness}} Diavolo]] as even at his worst, he felt that he was working for a greater purpose and doesn't like the idea of being so paranoid that he would hole himself and kill anyone for simply being remotely related or tied to him.
* Although a despondent man chasing a fruitless dream, Dutch admits that the House of Pantheon/{{Despondency}} might be a decent place, a rare sentence as he is generally distrustful of the idea of Houses in the Pantheon due to their rigid organization and establishing themselves as giant institutes, which Dutch sees as unwelcoming. He's not one to be interested in therapy, but he does like to keep to himself and dwell on his past. As for suicide, it's not a really touchy subject for him as he'd do it again if it meant giving him peace of mind and if asked, much of his depression comes from the fact that he's a fatalist, comparing life, events, and one's characters to gravity, namely that you can't oppose the establishment of one's nature nor can you avert fate once its set in stone. The Pantheon might seem like a punishment to him, but even after accepting that, Dutch has found it hard to cope with his depression over the circumstances of his fate. In a way, he's a melancholic contrast to Anton Chigurh, who was also a fatalist but bent it in a self-centred fashion, using his beliefs as an excuse to justify his profession as a hitman and whatever murder he commits. Dutch and Chigurh admitted to having a reflective conversation with each other, though the sheer differences in their core values meant that Dutch saw him as a threat, especially when Chigurh showcased himself to be far too detached to be convinced in any way as well as the sheer remorselessness he displayed in his actions, especially admitting in having no problems killing Dutch for any reason.

* Some people have joked about Raditz's hair in regard to going Super Saiyan, in particular, what Super Saiyan 3 would be like. Thanks to revelations from the ''VideoGame/DragonBallHeroes'' timeline, both questions have been answered. Raditz was able to achieve the forms in the Pantheon through training and vengeful rage; the first one a result of Yuuki Terumi stoking the flames of his resentment, revealed publicly during the attack on Republic City, and the third being unveiled after further training as he sought to avenge yet another embarrassment at the hands of his prince and former leader. As Vegeta was looking for his son Future Trunks, who'd gone missing following a particular criminal event, Raditz accosted him and challenged him to battle again. Vegeta was rather nonplussed about this interruption, but when Raditz transformed into a Super Saiyan 3, the reaction changed to being actually rather impressed.

* Several years after his Tenkaichi Budokai victory against Piccolo Jr., Son Goku decided to go to Kame House and visit his friends, accompanied by his progeny Son Gohan and a hat with th Four Star Dragon Ball on it. Meanwhile, Piccolo was meditating in mountain seclusion as usual, plotting his eventual takeover of the world. At the same time, a long-haired and monkey-tailed man in a strange armor-and-trunks uniform landed on Earth in a strange circular pod, casually caught and deflected a bullet from a farmer, and used his green power-scouting monocle to look for a being called Kakarot. The scouter pointed him first in the direction of Piccolo, who attempted to attack him only to be completely no-sold. Before he could retaliate, though, another, stronger power level reached his device's detection. When he went there, he found Kame House, with Goku and friends. He introduced himself as Raditz, as one of the last remaining members of the Saiyans, a race of warriors who specialize in depopulating planets and selling them to the highest bidder. Furthermore, he admonished Goku as the aforementioned Kakarot, revealing that this was his true name and Raditz was his older brother.

** Overconfident of his power boost, Raditz engaged his prince in combat, only to promptly discover he was still outmatched. Vegeta stopped mid-fight to recall the Saibaman training incident that allowed him to give him a good spar before the mission to Earth, finally giving Raditz the credit he was seeking all this time for having helped change the course of the Saiyans' history. However, this wasn't simply to praise Raditz, but to prepare him for the sight of the Ultimtate Saiyan transformation, also known as Super Saiyan 4, which Sun Wukong had taught Kakarot and Vegeta based on the ''Anime/DragonBallGT'' timeline. SSJ4 Vegeta was far stronger than SSJ3 Raditz; even so, Vegeta was not prepared for Raditz to have an ally, in the former of the Sorceress Ultimecia, using her incredible magical powers to subdue him.

This time he was much more pissed off at his own missed opportunity.

Furthermore, he admonished Goku as the aforementioned Kakarot, revealing that this was his true name and Raditz was his older brother.
** Raditz was disgusted that not only
had dwelled Kakarot not liquidated the Earth for sale as he was sent to do, but instead became a protector of the backwater planet as Goku. He was also flabbergasted that his little brother had allowed his tail to be cut loose, as it was key to triggering a Saiyan's true power. After one-shotting both his brother's bald friend Krillin with his tail as well as Kakarot himself with his knee, Raditz took Gohan hostage and gave Kakarot a SadisticChoice: kill 100 humans, or your son dies. Instead, Kakarot came back with his green rival, demanding Raditz give back his son and leave the Earth alone. Raditz in Hell, turn chose to fight and kill the lot of them.
** The invading Saiyan's power may have been superior, but their skills and resilience kept them alive long enough for Kakarot to realize they shared a common weakness. Kakarot effectively depowered Raditz by grabbing his tail, leaving him ripe for Piccolo's secret killshot -- but then Raditz resorted to begging for mercy, promising to leave the planet as his brother demanded. Kakarot relented, much to Piccolo's chagrin, and Raditz thanked his brother by proceeding to pulverize and taunt him, with his screams of pain reaching the ears of his son who was captive in his pod. Triggered into rage, Gohan busted out of Raditz's spaceship and rammed head first into Raditz's gut to make the bad man leave his daddy alone; much to everyone's shock, this attack was actually strong enough to hurt the Saiyan invader. Raditz, while impressed with his nephew's strength, resolved to kill the boy, which left him open for Kakarot to grab him in a full nelson. Raditz begged his brother's mercy again, but this time it didn't work. Piccolo was ready to run his killshot straight through them both, and Kakarot was willing to sacrifice himself to stop his evil brother. Thus, Piccolo's special beam cannon technique, Makankosappo, earned itself a lethal debut, claiming the lives of both Saiyans.
* While lamenting his and his brother's fate on this measly backwater planet, Piccolo boasted to Raditz that Goku would likely be brought back to life with the Dragon Balls. Raditz, however, had turned his scouter's transmitter function on so his fellow Saiyans would know of his defeat, which means they were also inadvertently scooped in on the secret of these magical wish orbs. Thus, Raditz bled out to death confidently

Being the cruelest Saiyan of them all, Vegeta has promptly disregarded this idea, instead seeking the balls to wish for immortality while desiring Kakarot's second and ultimate downfall as a consequence for "betraying" him as the Prince of Saiyans. Even this would fail, as the resulting conflict led to a near-death stalemate and an arms race on Piccolo's home planet of Namek for a different set of Dragon Balls. Said arms race culminated in Kakarot becoming the first publicly-confirmed Super Saiyan in a thousand years and actually defeating Frieza, the true employer behind the space pirate real estate criminal organization that ruled over the Saiyan Army. This would result in Vegeta becoming Kakarot's ultimate rival, both having long since forgotten about him, and his brother hasn't neglected to spare even bothered a thought to visiting Raditz, let alone reviving him. The For years the cowardly Saiyan is dwelled in Hell, pretty damn pissed about this.
** One day, a gateway opened in front of Raditz from whatever special corner of Earth's Hell he resided in, taking him to a strange place where he was surprised to find his body was fully in tact. Standing in front of a tribunal called the Court of the Gods, he was acknowledged for the fact that his actions in coming to Earth and introducing Son Goku to his true Saiyan origins as Kakarot ultimately took the scope of both his exploits and powers to otherworldly levels. control. For these reason, Babidi never bothers keeping him under control for long. In addition, he normally releases him without incident. This is because the one time Babidi [[YouHaveOutlivedYourUsefulness killed Raditz for no longer being of use]], he found himself vaporized by a powerful blue-white energy wave two weeks later. DeathIsCheap in the Pantheon, but that doesn't make it any fun.
* In his search for a better life, Raditz came across [[VideoGame/DragonballZBudokaiTenkaichi an alternate timeline where]] [[WhatIf he lost his memory]] and had a gradual HeelFaceTurn as a result. [[RedemptionEqualsDeath He still presumably died.]] The main Raditz isn't sure what to take from this.

this. He much later came across [[https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLNSgpJTAeqwl1ILSHjUC84Hh1obBMtYxM another possible exploration]] of a potential better life for himself. Long story short, had he been able to escape Kakarot's full nelson hold, dodge Piccolo's Makankosappo, and survive to report to Vegeta after recovering, he would've replaced Vegeta as Kakarot's link to the Saiyans and Kakarot as Vegeta's despised rival, as well as achieved both a life of peace on Earth and incredible power much like they did. This time he was much more pissed off at his own missed opportunity.

However, Greed and Lin Beifong both used their powers and team coordinating skills to lead the defense of Lin's city in fending him off. Though they couldn't do much damage, they were able to stall him long enough for Vegeta to show up and send him packing.

* Some people have joked about Raditz's hair in regard to going Super Saiyan, in particular, what Super Saiyan 3 would be like. With the recent reveal of his newly attained Super Saiyan 3 form, that question has finally been answered.

* Some people have joked about Raditz's hair in regard to going Super Saiyan, in particular, what Super Saiyan 3 would be like. With Thanks to revelations from the recent reveal ''VideoGame/DragonBallHeroes'' timeline, both questions have been answered. Raditz was able to achieve the forms in the Pantheon through training and vengeful rage; the first one a result of Yuuki Terumi stoking the flames of his newly attained resentment, revealed publicly during the attack on Republic City, and the third being unveiled after further training as he sought to avenge yet another embarrassment at the hands of his prince and former leader. As Vegeta was looking for his son Future Trunks, who'd gone missing following a particular criminal event, Raditz accosted him and challenged him to battle again. Vegeta was rather nonplussed about this interruption, but when Raditz transformed into a Super Saiyan 3 form, that question has finally been answered.
** Vegeta's
3, the reaction changed to this is as follows:being actually rather impressed.

** Overconfident of his power boost, Raditz engaged his prince in combat, only to promptly discover he was still outmatched when Vegeta turned Super Saiyan Blue. However, rather than kill him, Vegeta sent him off telling him this:
--> '''Vegeta:''' Abandon this nonsense about taking revenge on Kakarot or myself, or gaining respect in the pond of scum they call [[Pantheon/GrandUnitedAllianceOfEvil GUAE]]. Get stronger, come back and fight me again, and then we'll see what you've got. Understand?

** Overconfident of his power boost, Raditz engaged his prince in combat, only to promptly discover he was still outmatched outmatched.
** Raditz and Ultimecia took him to Homunculus Father's temple, where the Prince was strapped to the unwilling participant Greed as part of a ritual to generate a new Great Philosopher's Stone. While the ritual worked, Vegeta's resistance introduced a chink in the stones, which caused them to be painful. Still, Raditz took the opportunity to come after Lin Beifong and her allies, who had tried and failed to stop the rites, while at the same time holding his power back to avoid destroying the lair. Due to the latter, he was able to be surprised by Touta Konoe's electric Raiten Taisō form, as well as promptly overwhelmed
when Vegeta recovered and turned Super Saiyan Blue. Blue, handing him his ass. However, rather than kill him, not only did Vegeta sent also defend his honor as a Saiyan when the Ouroboros Homunculi tried to disrespect his worth despite his having helped them, he also spared Radtiz's life and gave him off telling him this:
some sound advice:

* The entire incident with Vegeta rented space in the Raditz's head as he represented his former teammate Nappa in a bet with Sabrina, wherein if he was able to defeat the martial artists Ryu and Ken Masters without going Super Saiyan, Sabrina would aid Nappa in ascending to the Pantheon. Raditz was initially distracted by his reflections on Vegeta's words, allowing Ryu and Ken the upper hand as he contemplated the fact that his standing within Melkor's clientele, the now-unofficial army backing the GUAE, was no safer and even less dignifying than his days serving the Frieza Force. Eventually Nappa got through to him by reminding him of the bet, which he had voluntarily taken on as a Saiyan-to-Saiyan favor, and he proceeded to unleash his [[VideoGame/DragonBallZKakarot red power]]. While the details are unknown, it is presumed that Raditz won the match, as Nappa has since ascended, although it did take awhile to go through.

* With his father's ascension, Raditz finally learned the truth in a shouting match that Kakarot being sent off-world was for his own protection, not a mission to destroy Earth. Raditz and Bardock have agreed to patch things up for the sake of the family. Bardock is currently trying to teach Raditz to be less of a self-preserving coward. Because of this and the Super Saiyan 3 development, Babidi is no longer strengthening Raditz with his spells.
* Well after being consumed in the Android 21 incident, Nappa finally ascended to the Pantheon. The former Saiyan General was glad to see his longtime charge and teammate, and unlike Vegeta this case wasn't complicated by said former charge executing him for failure and then turning to Kakarot's side. That said, Nappa has attempted to get Raditz to formally step away from Frieza for good, since he tried to stomach that overlord's rule to survive 21's schemes only to find it wasn't worth it.
* Later, the Saiyan known as Paragus came to him with an offer to join forces and get payback against Vegeta, even acknowledging the forgotten fact that [[WordOfGod Raditz was actually regarded as an above-average warrior]] within the overall ranks of the Frieza Force. Glad to finally get some respect, Raditz accepted this. Not too fond of Kakarot's doppelganger Turles, though, who holds a low opinion of him regardless. After Paragus talked Bardock into joining, and then Bardock got Nappa on board, Raditz agreed to the conditions put in place by his father and the former colonel as to the missions they would take on, which included no full-time conscription, no ineffectual targets, and no attacks on Kakarot's friends aside from Vegeta. After hearing Nappa gloat in celebration that the Saiyans had now "freed themselves" of Frieza's domination once and for all, Raditz had to admit it felt nice.

* With Things were rather rocky when Raditz finally saw his father's ascension, father again after Bardock's ascension to the Pantheon. Bardock [[{{Understatement}} very disappointed]] with [[BigBrotherBully his eldest son's treatment of Kakarot]], [[EvilUncle his grandson]], and his general [[SmugSnake attitude]] altogether bringing shame to the Saiyans; it was during this berating that Raditz finally learned the truth in a shouting match that his brother [[Manga/JacoTheGalacticPatrolman was sent to Earth for his own protection, instead of slaughtering the population like normal]]. Raditz attempted to call his father out on this, asking why he and his mother didn't tell Raditz about this sooner, but Bardock sternly reminded him that it was Gine who told him about Kakarot being sent off-world since Bardock was preparing for his own protection, not the last stand against Frieza, effectively putting it back on Raditz that he simply presumed Kakarot was sent on a Frieza Force mission to destroy Earth. When their shouting match concluded, Raditz and Bardock have agreed to patch things up for the sake of the family. Bardock is currently trying to teach Raditz to be less of a self-preserving coward. Because of this and the Super Saiyan 3 development, Babidi is no longer strengthening Raditz with his spells.

He's even tried to commiserate with one of his brother's friends, as he can feel for Yamcha being [[MemeticLoser treated as such]] [[ButtMonkey a weakling]], although Nappa's antagonism towards Yamcha due to being embarrassed by him during the 21 saga quickly put that to a halt.
